Thanks a lot @Beatlebug
Now I have a question: Should I even bother picking up Wonderwall Music and Electronic Sound ?

Both are on youtube, see below in the spoilers. I cannot fathom any reason why you will ever want to listen to ‘Electronic Sound ‘, its basically listening to someone fiddle about with a new instrument for 44 minutes. ‘Wonderwall’ is meant to be a better listen, its the soundtrack of the film. I’ve never bothered personally. Wanting a complete George collection would be the only reason for obtaining either.

Wonderwall Music is worth it if you can find it cheap but Electronic Sound is pretty pointless to get. If you really want to listen to it, just do so on Youtube or whatever streaming services it’s on..

Electronic Sound is the exact definition of the album. I was hugely disappointed when I brought it home and played it. It is literally just a bunch of electronic sounds; whistles, squeals, bloops and bleeps. From the title, I actually thought that it was just a working name (like Granny Smith) that no one ever got around to changing to something else.
Wonderwall, on the other hand, as I understand it, is actually the soundtrack to the movie “Wonderwall”. I saw the movie once long ago, very late at night and don’t remember much–probably was dozing. However, the album has a lot of Indian themed music as well as western influenced pieces. Two that come to mind respectively would be Microbes and Fixing a Home, two of my favorite cuts from the album. I haven’t listened to it in quite awhile. Thanks for reminding me about it.

I agree with mmm, Electric Sounds is a waste of your time unless you find it dirt-cheap by dirt-cheap, I mean $5 maximum for it- any more than that and the shop should be paying you to take it off their hands >.>
Wonderwall Music is good though, particularly if you like Indian music (duh), there are also some great little guitar bits on it like my particular favourite:
In other George news, we got our first official George Fest clip- Handle With Care. These things always look like great fun, everyone is just jumping around having the craic.

I don’t know who 99% of those people were, but they got the Silly Girl Buzzwangle littlefemaley Stamp of Approval, and That Means A Lot .
So tell me, what do I have to do to get to bounce around on a stage with Dhani ‘Changeable Hair’ Harrison and a bunch of other more famous people whose names I know not singing George’s songs? I’ll do it, no questions asked.

Well it seems that George Fest is a regular thing: perhaps you can start a competing George Fest, or just take up the ukulele, do a rad cover and get invited

Rad isn’t allowed. Only gear fab groovy.
That important message having been delivered, I was actually thinking of taking up ukulele… just in case I ever get to go to Friar Park… you know, it’s well to be prepared and all that…
But I also want to get an electric guitar and learn slide so I can play the Harrisonics… ergh! Which first?
Gotta pace myself. Slow Down , SG.
And here’s a Georgie.

Thanks for the concert, ASJ! LOVE Handle with Care. I definitely had the craic.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Do what I’m doing, and get both. I’m spending a little more on the uke because I want a concert (sopranos are teeny tiny even for my hands), but the guitar is on the backburner until I first buy a synth – I just got the drum machine I needed, so my plans are coming along nicely. Should be able to get the uke in about a month.

Good Conan bits, I was surprised to learn of this connection between him and Dhani, but I’ve always had time for Conan from when they used to play his late night show a day late on TV here in Australia years ago, and there’s always been much more to him than most people think.

Love your new signature, @Merch. George Harrison is indeed the most marvellous thing since boys were discovered.
I mean, just look at him…
And… yep… oh my god, I’ve never seen this one before.
I’m dying here. He looks so… real. Like an actual living human being you could talk to. I’ve never seen a photo of him that lifelike before.

Btw, If anyone’s wondering, I took the quote from here:
While I’m here I might as well post some of my favourite photos of him, including this one, which my favourite ever, and is also my phone lockscreen and the one I used for my English class when I had to write about a famous person I liked and include a photo (I even used purple for the details, maybe I’m a little too crazy).
Don’t ask me why I like this one because I don’t even know it myself, he just looks cool.

@Georgefan The founding members of the club aren’t here right now, but I will give you the best answers I can.
1. No. Anyone at all is free to post here, and new members are always welcome.
2. A ‘Fiendish Thingy’ is another name for a Harrifan-girl/boy. Since you call yourself ‘Georgefan’, I would say you certainly do qualify.
So welcome!

Hmm. Would be an interesting thing. When I get my computer back, I could make crests or badges that I could add to people’s avatars so they can show their fab membership.
