I received 1219 out of 1500. Interesting since I got all 15 questions correct and did the quiz very quickly.
The further one travels, the less one knows

I think Inner Light thought you were referring to the interview, when you were actually referring to Appy’s post about Rogering a Horse.
Yeah, that’s what I was referring to. Never mind

Sorry to double post but I just thought of something my nan said a few weeks ago, and here seems like an appropriate place to post it.
We were talking about my first car, and I said that I’d love either a mini (not the new versions) or a pale green or blue beetle. She said, I’d love a ”beetle” too, his name is George. Me too, nan, me too

The interview for today ^
God I love George’s sense of humour But it’s sad, him talking about all his plans and he never got to complete them

What I love most about George as a musician is how beautiful and full of emotion his songs are when it’s just him and a guitar. I think that really shows what a talented man he was. He’s probably my favourite because he’s the Beatle I most relate to (also most attracted to, haha), and I just love what a caring, sincere, eccentric, funny and complicated person he was. It’s amazing to me that so many people from all walks of life genuinely adored him as a friend.
I love all The Beatles, but George is really the only famous person who comes close to being something of a “hero” to me.
EDIT: Oh, also, how he was gentle but a total badass at the same time.

And today’s videos George and Paul Simon (from Simon & Garfunkel) sing “Here Comes The Sun ” and “Homeward Bound” on SNL in 1976. One word: amazing
Here Comes The Sun has crappy quality but the sound is superb, enjoy!
So the topic for today is:

From the rehearsal for Saturday Night Live with Paul Simon, the sound isn’t brilliant but still…
And then there is his most important friendship with another musician, Bob Dylan. Many others crop up along the way, but Bob is the constant.
This first comes from a Bob Dylan and George Harrison recording session in 1 May 1970. George provides guitar and backing vocals. The song may be familiar…
From the same session, a Bob tune with George and Bob swapping verses…
Same session as above, a couple of covers…
Rehearsing for the Concert for Bangla Desh…
From the evening performance…
George, Bob, John Fogerty (Credence Clearwater Revival), Taj Mahal and Jesse Ed Davis at The Palomino Club, North Hollywood, 19 May 1987 – often referred to as The Silver Wilburys (Part 1 of 2)…
The Palomino Club, North Hollywood, 19 May 1987 (Part 2 of 2)…
From the year of The Beatles induction into the Hall of Fame in 1988…
And from later that year you have to have…
and…
Then in October 1992, they celebrated Bob’s 30th Anniversary. This is from the rehearsals…
And as recently as 2009 in Liverpool, Bob was remembering his friend…

No idea if folks have seen this, its from a film called Water that starred Billy Connolly and made by Handmade Films. Anyway in the finale there is a band which includes Ringo, George and Eric Clapton who perform the song Freedom.
Its atually a good film and only goes to show that HandMade films have got a lot of movies out there that go are under the radar but well worth watching. Folks forget the influence George had in the movie world when he formed Handmade to get Life of Brian out.

I just thought that I’d share a site that documents several vocal ranges, including George’s. If anyone knows of any good George notes, they’d be happy to hear them. I’ll post George’s, because this is for George fans.. right?
http://therangeplace.forummoti…..e-harrison
Although they say George’s vocal range was limited, the highest note they’ve got is close to the note Paul screams in Long Tall Sally .. I’ve been scouring the BBC album lately for George notes and all I find are Paul notes.
Please don't wake me, no don't shake me, leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping~.
