I’m kind of tempted to post it on thenewno2’s FB page in the very slight chance that Dhani would see it and be completely freaked out.
You should. I noticed they did one specifically for Alan Cumming. I hope he saw it.

The tree planting ceremony’s in a half hour, and Breakfast with the Beatles’ Chris Carter and The Sound 100.3 will be there.
Wish I’d caught the time well in advance, seeing as I’m at a hair appointment. Maybe I can catch the annual celebration at the Star.

Hope you can make it. If you do, tell us all about it.

I won’t be able to make it, but an FB friend went the tree ceremony and he’s on his way to the star ceremony, so I’ll ask his permission to share his thoughts.

George is too fab for me. I’m melting! And pooling on the floor…
Dhani moment:
My two favourite Beatles.. in one place and both looking, well, groovy. It’s All Too Much …
Again!
And finally, thought this was interesting:
Thank you for enduring my fangirl moment. I’m done now. I can peacefully go back to enjoying their music rather than their looks.

It’s not really Kinfauns if it was bulldozed to the ground and a new house was built on it.
It was demolished after the musician moved out and a new home boasting a swimming pool, games room and 700-bottle wine cellar has been built on the land in Claremont Park Estate.

I read the article.
(Warning: Rant ahead.)
Their info is badly off. For instance, they claim that “Blue Jay Way ” was written at Kinfauns. I was under the impression that he wrote the song (which they tell us was a big hit????) in L.A. while waiting for his friends who lost their way. And did John and Yoko really take an acid trip with him in 1965? The other was almost forgiveable, but this is where they give themselves away entirely. The Beatles hadn’t even heard of LSD in ’65! And John hadn’t even met Yoko in ’65! And George wasn’t even married in ’65! Need I go on?
(Maybe they meant to write a different date. But rants are more enjoyable than being charitable. And anyway, didn’t they proofread the thing?)
Okay, rant over.
I need some Fab-osity to soothe my ruffled Beatlepride. How about… Ah, the perfect man for the job.
I feel better now.
Hey… did John and Yoko ever take an acid trip with George and Pattie at Kinfauns?

The Beatles first took LSD in 1965, see Joe’s article here for more details but an excerpt reads
While The Beatles were no strangers to drugs prior to 1965, their introduction to LSD caused a major shift in their music, personalities and public perception.
The precise date of their first encounter is unknown, although it’s likely to have been between March and July 1965. It is known, however, that it took place at Flat 1, 2 Strathearn Place, London W2, in the home of 34-year-old cosmetic dentist John Riley.
However this is certainly a quite wonderful example from that article of unbelievably atrocious journalism, for it they do deserve some credit.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono retreated to Kinfauns during their first LSD trip in 1965 with Harrison and his first wife.
