On this, the 9th anniversary of George's passing, I am listening to Concert for George on my iPod.
How will you remember him today?
Thanks for reminding me. 🙁
I will remember George by thinking about him. We don't have much of his solo work, so I will listen to his Beatles songs in my spare time.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

I’ve been listening to all his music since I’m up. I’m going through the Beatles album listening to his songs including the Lennon/McCartney he sang, and then I’ll go to his solo work. And then, I’ll watch again Paul’s concert when he sings Something .
But I’m sure George doesn’t want us to cry so at night I’ll watch Life of Brian

Today we have also lost Leslie Nielson, a fantastic American comic actor, and Irvin Kershner, who directed the Empire Strikes Back.
To remember George I will be listening to All Things Must Pass .
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I heard about Leslie Nielson this morning, DoctorRobert. My wife and I were saddened by the news as he was one of our favorites.
And mith, I was thinking the same thing about George not wanting us to be sad – “Life of Brian” is a great choice! I wish I had it. Well done.
This morning when I got up and drove to work, the sky was a bit overcast. When I went for my morning walk during a coffee break, I put on Arpan from the Concert for George album. The sun came out full blast and everything just all-of-a-sudden warmed up. I was grinning from ear to ear all the way. A Beatley moment to be sure, but I thought I'd share it here.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

That's nice Zig. I was watching to my Sweet Lord and the sky was all bright blue. I loved it. Our skies are bright and blue and just beautiful. Very Texan style. (I don't live there, but my hometown is near there)

Since I unfortunately don't have any of George's solo work, I'm listening to all his Beatle songs. But when I'm home and on the computer I plan on listening to All Things Must Pass .

Wow, nine years. I'll probably give “All Things Must Pass ” a spin, or maybe d/l and check out “Dark Horse ” or “Material World”, which I've never heard. (Or I might get drunk and get the urge to throw on “Electronic Sound ” or “Wonderwall Music “!)

He was actually Canadian, btw. (His brother Erik was even our Deputy Prime Minister from 1984-86! That's kinda like the Canadian equivalent of Vice President.)
