What I heard was that Paul wanted to do something Beatle related, and George finally said yes (after initially being against doing anything Beatles) because he was having financial problems.Either way, I don’t see him being appreciative of Paul for doing something to help him out coz Paul always wanted to do something Beatle related near that time.
Correct. In fact he probably resented him for it.
I’ve long felt that harrison would never have done “anthology” had he not needed the cash. He knew how much the project meant to paul and preventing it from happening must have given him a lot of enjoyment.
So once again georgey boy had to eat a bit of s**t and go through stuff he really didn’t want to for the sake of mccartneys ego. As discussed before you can actually visibly see his displeasure at certain points (especially when paul was present)
Anthology really wasn’t that great anyway, hopefully there will be a better less airbrushed version of the beatles story to come in the future.

On the Cloud Nine sleeve, there are special thanks to a bunch of people (including Olivia, Dhani, John, Paul, and Ringo ). One of them was a Bill Harrison– I assume this chap is a relation of George’s, but how?

No relation. Just a coincidence.
Here’s the excerpt from the thanks section concerned.
…Dominic Taylor, Alan Rogan and Bill Harrison, Kevin Townend…
Notice how Alan Rogan and Bill Harrison are grouped together. That’s no coincidence. Both were roadies who worked with George (Alan Rogan was George’s guitar roadie and Bill Harrison was Ringo’s drum roadie).
Both Bill Harrison and Alan Rogan also previously worked with The Who. Here’s a short clip from the late ’70s of Bill Harrison showing the Who’s equipment.
And, for good measure, here’s Alan Rogan talking guitars with a couple brief mentions of George.

Did Paul and George’s relationship ever get better before George died
I think so. In the “Living In The Material World ” doc, Paul talked about how he spent hours talking with George at Friar Park toward the end of his life, catching up, mending fences.

George and Paul did make up before George passed away. Along with Paul being around offering support etc I think he even suggested a location for where George could go which was private so he could be left alone, far away from the press and any onlookers.
I always liken the four Beatles to being brothers. At times when one or two relations were [very] strained and at times they really got under each others skins and were distant but whenever required the four were there for each other.

Agree! This is to a degree what I said to the similar question on Paul’s board.

I don’t know. The band broke up in ’70. Anyone with a tarnished version of fights, resentments, etc is getting up there or dead already. I like the legacy. It wasn’t all pretty. But I enjoyed them remembering things and talking about songs. Why dig up dirt just for the sake of calling it “real”. What we have is the music, when all is said & done, no matter who was fighting with whom when it was made 40-50 yrs ago. The Reality TV version of The Beatles doesn’t need to be created to satisfy a 2016 urge to wallow in stuff these brothers kept between themselves.

@SayaOtonashi inquired discreetly
In terms of Dhani do we know anything about the relationship with the former Beatles? I mean I know The Beatle kids have hang out so there I hope is a true friendship.
He had a drum lesson from Ringo as a wee lad… it frightened him out of his trousers!
Besides that, I seem to recall that he’s referred to Paul and Ringo as ‘uncles’ (I think mostly Ringo as George was closer to Ringo, so Dhani would have seen more of him), and I’m pretty sure that still holds true.

That would be cool to receive lessons from Ringo. I wonder if Beatles kids are cool with each other. I mean they all keep saying they will form a band together there must be some friendships. It seems( due to the photos.) Sean and Dhani are close.

There is, I think, an interesting aspect of Dhani’s relationship with Paul and Ringo that is different to the relationship that other Beatles’ offspring do not really have with other former Beatles (I think that makes sense, just about!). While Yoko deals with every aspect of John’s Estate, it does seem that Olivia oversees George’s Estate while Dhani is heavily involved in how his father’s musical legacy is handled (with care), which would suggest to me that, by necessity, out of their offspring, Dhani’s is probably the first of them to become heavily involved in Apple’s plans for the future, arguing his father’s viewpoint from the aspect of being a musician.
Just as with George Martin we saw the baton handled across to Giles, with George we have seen it handed to Dhani. Too soon Apple will consist of people who were barely born.

When is it suppose to return to the Beatle Estate? I read 2018 is that still true? I guess the Beatle’s company apple will heard by Yoko, Ringo, Olivia, Paul and Paul jr, Zak and Dhani.

I wonder do you guys think these guys could be Beatles:The next generation
Dear god, I hope that never happens. With all due respect to James, I think it would be the corniest thing in fifty years– even if they did make good music, just the idea of it being ‘The Beatles: Second Generation’ makes me cringe. If they really wanted to collaborate, I could deal with that, but they shouldn’t make a big Beatles thing out of it.

I think so, then their babies could be Beatles 3rd gen (if they have or adopt any) then they can create a Beatles dynasty with Beatles 3527 gen.
