I became very sad to learn from this article that Olivia has stopped sending Louise her pension that George would send her. Does anyone know why?

Hello friends! Good afternoon to you all! I have some questions relating to these videos:
What George is talking about?
What time was this? Because they were recording it? Was some program?
Who are these people who are with him?
What year was that? It is the same in 1976?
Have some more video in which he is watching a song from The Beatles?
Some questions that are not found at all, or on Google, if you can answer me, I’m very happy!
I would also like you to tell me what they felt when they saw these videos. I cried and laughed at the same time, George gives a lot of nostalgia and the way he looks at the Beatles is so beautiful!
Nobody told me there'd be days like these!!

In answering your questions: 1) George was talking about in the first one how Lennon wore glasses but didn’t like wearing them on stage so he could’nt see anything. He is also discussing the harmonies and how he felt it was a good song. 2) Not sure of the time or program. Looks to me they were reviewing some old Beatles footage maybe to use in one of his upcoming videos. 3) The only one I recognize is Olivia Harrison. The rest look like engineers. 4) The year was definitely 1976. 5) Regarding George’s comments. I believe he really enjoyed playing in the Beatles. As the years passed, he became more comfortably in talking about them. I think he just needed time to come to terms with the peace he was seeking. I truly believe he missed playing with his friends. He had often said he liked being in a band and enjoyed playing live.

@Hey Jude ! Certainly not an atheist, and without much interest in Western religions, perhaps the easiest way to sum up George is that he believed in God , and the importance of the search for God and enlightenment, and that his path involved an exploration of Asian religion and philosophy. He was closest probably to the Hindu faith, but it would be wrong to call him a strict Hindu. He also equally drew on Buddhist teachings, and the philosophies of the Krishna and Transcendental Meditation movements. George followed his path, drawing understanding where he found it, rather than sticking with a particular doctrine.
EDIT: Just changed that @ in this as there are two Hey Jude ‘s here and I realised I had @-ed the wrong one!

Did Brian or George Martin ever advocate (or express a wish for) George Harrison to have more of his songs on the albums?

Not to my knowledge. I would think that Brian and Martin would have had major input on that decision. George wasn’t that interested in songwriting in the early years and the Lennon/McCartney machine wasn’t broken (‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’) Fans had come to expect John and Paul songs by the time ‘AHDN ‘ came out.

I remember Bill Harry (Founder of Mersey Beat Magazine) saying in an interview once that he had to bug George often about “when are you going to write some songs?” and “how come it’s always Lennon & McCartney?” Later on while George was ill when The Beatles were playing Bournemouth he took to writing his first song and Bill Harry claims that George even used his constant nagging for the inspiration behind ‘Don’t Bother Me ‘ because George had said to him that “he couldn’t bare to see you again” out of fear of listening to him go on about it…:-)

I thought about my question again yesterday. Do I have my timeline right here: Brian died just as/right before George became a song writing powerhouse?

George started to come into his own as a songwriter in 1965 – two songs on each Help ! and Rubber Soul , 1966 was an early peak with three songs on Revolver , and the beginnings of the stockpile of songs that would make up All Things Must Pass . So George was becoming an impressive songwriter long before Brian died.
Brian had little influence over their music. There is a famous story, not necessarily true, but it captures a truth, where they were in the studio recording, and Brian made a suggestion. John supposedly shot him down with, “We’ll do the music, Brian. You stick to your percentages.” So I very much doubt Brian could have swayed John and Paul into giving George a bigger slice of album space.
George Martin may have been listened far more, but he didn’t argue for George to be given more space. He has often said in the years since that one of his biggest regrets is that he wasn’t more supportive of George as a songwriter, but pointing out that he had two of the greatest songwriters of all-time to deal with, and so George tended to get overlooked.
George’s problem was that he was in a band whose songwriters were Lennon/McCartney.

If memory serves I believe Brian, as a form of compensation for the lack of George songs in the early years, enlisted George to be the “author” of regular articles to appear in a newspaper. They were ultimately ghost written by Derek Taylor – remember the “big green jobs” hack job? Poor Derek never quite lived that one down.

I didn’t know about the “big green jobs”. Joe tells us about it on his Derek Taylor page. https://www.beatlesbible.com/p…..ek-taylor/
Are there any interviews with George’s parents about their thoughts on their son’s succcess?

There is the wonderful ‘Concert For George’ which is something he said he would love – getting all his friends together and making really great music. That’s a kind of memorial.I think both John and George would have been uncomfortable with the idea of memorials to them. I can imagine (sorry!) John poking fun at them and George saying that physical tributes are less important than the legacy of his music and his love.
That’s an interesting idea, although it leads me astray (but hopefully not morbid). Knowing what little I know about who they really were, I’d think John would want to be comforted by Yoko (which I don’t believe he was – but not sure if she was being shoved around by bodyguards). I think George would have…wanted to be just offstage with Olivia and Dhani at the Concert for George (and call it the Concert for Krishna Yeah, with have a big comfy bed thing that all three of them could watch the show from behind the curtain
