He was born in the 24 since in his time zone at the time of his birth, it was the 24th.
If we disregard daylight savings time for George then we should disregard it for everything else.

I read on Facebook yesterday that Olivia said if you told George happy birthday on the 24th, he’d say “it’s not my birthday.” And if you waited until the 25th his response was, “you missed it.”

AppleScruffJunior . . .
I still think of it as being on the 25th or at least we should make it into a two-day holiday.
I’ve got it sorted as– his astrological birth-date is the 24th; his regular birth-date is the 25th. And I celebrate both days, because any excuse to celebrate twice as much.

I posted that to this thread yesterday.

In honour of George’s birthdays, I did a chronological listening of all of his post-Beatle studio solo albums. As it happens, there are exactly ten, so I did the first five yesterday (birthday no. 1) and the next five today (birthday no. 2). I have gotten through nine of them so far and am about to finish up with (possibly my favourite) Brainwashed. What a finale.
Overdose? Heck yeah. Regrets? Impossible.

I completely forgot about George’s bday.
To celebrate I’m going to war my Beatles shirt when I work out today.
Sending all my prayers your way this happy day, big boy.

George.
You’ll never know me, and I’ll never be able to meet you in the material world, but even though you are no longer with us in body, your love, your music, and above all your spirit are a part of my life every day. And I thank god from the depths of my soul for your presence. Without knowing you, my life would be a thousand times less rich, less joyful. Perhaps I would have been perfectly content without your love, and certainly the subjects of my sketches would’ve been more varied , but I am more grateful than I can say that you have Brainwashed me, in the most positive way possible. You inspire me more than you can ever realise. You also delight, amuse, occasionally irritate, but above all fascinate me, because in whatever you did, you were always a special person, from the much-disputed minute you arrived in this life. And as corny as it may sound, you truly do live on in your music, in the stories those close to you tell (because yes, I’m sorry, they do talk about you– but who can blame them? You’re such a special person, they can’t help but share your love), and in your lovely lad Dhani (whom you did a very good job with, so congrats). Thank you for the music, for the thought-provoking whispered words of wisdom, for the wonderful guitar work (you’re the best), and most of all, for always being you. Even if being you wasn’t what people wanted or expected, you stayed true to yourself, and that’s the most honourable thing you could do.
The truth is, you don’t die completely until the last person on Earth who remembers you is dead. And we remember you, George, on this day and all others.
Your spirit lives on.

Awww thank you! You made my day.
I really needed to say that, though, and I felt every word. I think things like that all the time, and it’s a good exercise to try and get it out in words. And what better day to do it than the 25th of February?
Funnily enough, I had a premonition that you’d say that. Psychic

A story about the birthday celebration for George at his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Beatles fans have their minds set on George
Beatles fans flooded social media on Thursday with tributes to George Harrison on what would have been his 73rd birthday.
One of the Facebook tributes gave details about the George Harrison Birthday Celebration in Hollywood Thursday night with the event theme of “Love One Another” and 73 red velvet cupcakes arranged in the shape of a heart at George’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star in front of the Capitol Records Tower.

Thank you for the heartfelt tribute SG. His spiritual musical message transcends his time as a Beatle and he has enriched my life as well. I saw a movie the other day that at the climax had a highly emotional scene regarding a family that could no longer be together. I was trying not to cry when the credits came on and a song started with some very familiar acoustic strumming followed by the unmistakable ATMP orchestra. The song was Run Of The Mill and that was it for me and I let it roll (the tears I mean). Truth be told, I bought Brainwashed when it came out but never listened to it. I just didn’t want to say goodbye so I sort of avoided all things George for many years. When I hear Long, Long, Long now that’s the time period I think of (How could I ever…). It puts me on cloud nine that George is once again part of my daily life and absolutely SG, his spirit lives on.

Happy George’s-astrological-birthday!
I’m scheduled to listen to ATMP , LITMW, Dark Horse , Extra Texture , and Thirty-Three And A Third today, though I shan’t prolly get through more than the first two as I’ll be busy — but we’ll see.

I’m confused now if his birthday is the 24th or the 25th but anyways, whether in advance or not, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEORGE!!!
(It’s most likely the 25th but why not spread it over 2 days- the guy deserves it )
