I’ve almost finished the Paul McCartney songs features – I’ve just got a few titles to add, mainly Off The Ground -era b-sides and some other bits and pieces. It’s taken quite a while but I’m really pleased with the progress.
I’m going to move on to George Harrison ‘s songs next. I have a request: if anyone has quotations by George where he discusses his solo songs (nothing from the Beatles era), please post them here with citations/links.
I’ve got the I Me Mine book, and I’ve already covered the All Things Must Pass album. Did he give any track-by-track interviews about the other albums? Any snippets will do.
If not quotes by George, then ones from other musicians or producers who played on the recordings would be great. I know Brainwashed was posthumous, so did Dhani or Jeff Lynne ever go through each song?
I’ll pin this topic until I’ve finished, but if you can help please do sooner rather than later.
Edit: I might also do the two Traveling Wilburys albums, so the same applies to them.

There are George quotes for his albums in ‘The Beatles: The Dream Is Over’ by Keith Badman, but I don’t know if those are taken from ‘IMM’ or other sources.
Here is a promo interview for ‘Thirty Three & 1/3’ which may have something useful.
A ‘Rolling Stone’ interview from 1979 which has some discussion on the ‘George Harrison ‘ tracks.
I don’t think there is anything for anything on ‘Gone Troppo ‘ as he did no publicity at all for the album at the time of it’s release and then went on an extended break for 5 years.
‘Brainwashed‘ EPK.
They all may be useless and no help at all.

Thank you! They’re definitely helpful, and I’ll go through them all properly when I get to the albums.
I’d seen the Rolling Stone interview before, but the rest is new to me.
Badman rarely acknowledges his sources, which is frustrating. I like to go back to the originals wherever possible, but his books are better than nothing.

I’ve done all the Traveling Wilburys songs now, but this was a useful source for quotes: https://www.jefflynnesongs.com/
