I was going to post this to the regular Beatles song fragments thread, but when I saw John and Paul had their own respective song fragments threads, I decided I’d create one for George.
There are a lot of Harrisong fragments that really grab me, and I’ll probably be here quite a lot, but to begin with: I really love the way George sings ‘clooouuuuud’ under the guitar solo of ‘Stuck Inside A Cloud’. And his little ‘ooh’ before the last chorus (I think) in Blow Away. And any time he ever touched his guitar with a bottleneck slide.
What are some of those split-seconds of Harrisonic brilliance that really grab you?

The guitar riff in That’s The Way It Goes with the relentless jew’s harp behind it in one section (listening for the jokes in Harrison songs is part of the fun). The wood block on Miss O’Dell. The alternative lick by the organ in Ballad of Sir Frank Crisp that always takes me by surprise no matter how many times I hear it.

BeatlebugI'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

The beginning of the guitar solo in ‘Unknown Delight’ always grabs me by the (Apple) scruff, because it’s exactly like ‘Something ‘.
And one part of the guitar solo from ‘Cloud 9’ (the song), where he does this high slide note that sounds like it’s straight off of ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’. (I wonder what he thought about Pink Floyd?)

Listening to Brainwashed right now so……
- The ascending scale thing the guitar does under the penultimate ‘and if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there’.
- ‘Oh, Father, Father, stick a little five-bob in the box, it’ll be all right.’ from P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night).
- The shoom-dooms in Pisces Fish. (Come Together , anyone?)
- The way George sings the word ‘life’ in Looking For My Life… that gentle little vibrato.
- The way George sings that last ‘Oh, the rising sun.’ before the guitar solo.
- The
entirety ofvarious twinklies in Marwa Blues. And the bit where the bass drone changes. - The reverb-y strums in Stuck Inside A Cloud. Also the second little ‘craaazy’ after he sings ‘never been so crazy’. And the higher harmony above the last lines of the verses.
- ‘Can only run so faaaaaaaar’ where he goes back up five notes on ‘far’.
- The guitar part in Never Get Over You reminds me of Something . And I love the ‘ooooh, girl’ bit.
- The way George pronounces ‘come’ in Devil And The Deep Blue Sea– Scouse-style, because George
- The ‘I love you’ in Rocking Chair In Hawaii sounds like For You Blue .
- The middle section of Brainwashed, with the spoken-word bit. And the line ‘Brainwashed by computers, Brainwashed by mobile phones’– George, you had no idea

I love the middle eight to You. Well, I love the whole song but especially the middle eight.
And the piano riff at the end. And the way George turns into a woman half way through. Awesome song.

Happy to see I won’t be the only living human posting in this thread!
Harrisong fragment of the day: Your Love Is Forever, right after the first line of verse 2 (‘Resigned to the wintertime’s cold and dreary‘) where the bass does this nice little thing where it goes back and forth between two high notes.
Oh… and the whole song…

‘Hear Me Lord ‘ from All Things Must Pass – @ about 3:22, after he sings “…won’t you Hear Me Lord “, there is a little 6 or 7 note ascending guitar lick that gets me every time.

The slide guitar in the third verse of What Is Life gets me every time. It’s so sweet how, deep in the multilayers of brass and echo, he manages to slip in a subtle little touch of slide.

During the chorus of While My Guitar Gently Weeps , there’s a guitar doubling the bass, which really grabs me, as very few sources mention this and although I think it’s George doing this, some say Paul is doing this.
Maybe you should try posting more.

The very first second of I’d Have You Anytime perfectly opens All Things Must Pass . Very full instrumentation with beauty that is unparalleled in rock music.
