‘Don’t Let Me Wait Too Long’ is the fourth song on George Harrison’s fourth solo album Living In The Material World.
The song was planned as the follow-up single to ‘Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)’ on 24 September 1973, as Apple 1866, but the release was abandoned for unknown reasons. See more…

This may be my favorite George song. It is such a nice tune.
I love the line “only you know how to lay it down like it came from above, yes its you that I love”
He does a great job expressing the spirituality of his love.
"The pump don't work cause the vandals took the handles!"
-Bob Dylan, Subterranean Homesick Blues
"We could ride and surf together while our love would grow"
-Brian Wilson, Surfer Girl

@SgtPeppersBulldog you mean you’ve never heard Living In The Material World in full? You must remedy that
I do like this song. It’s a nice upbeat-sounding tune, relieves the serious mood of the album nicely without compromising the serious subject matter.

The drums are my favourite part of this track, everything else is alright, not great but sound enough. My favourite track on LitMW is probably ‘Try Some, Buy Some’.
