GEORGE HARRISON „THE Dark Horse YEARS BOX“
Long time ago I had have a kind of „building instruction“ (data-file in form pdf.) which showed the complete box details with stated measurements. Inside, outside, all sides; all in all a wonderful item to look and perhaps to constuct. Unfortunately this file got lost. Is there anybody, who knows if this file is still to recieve in the www. ?

I think it’s this one. I have it. It comes with 33 1/3, George Harrison , Somewhere in England, Gone Troppo , Cloud 9 and Live in Japan. It also comes with a DVD that has interviews on it.
If you haven’t gotten into his music yet and want to start, I would recommend buying his first two albums, All Things Must Pass and Living in the Material World, before any of his other work. They’re not included in this set, and I think they’re far better than all the albums that are.

^ I would also like to add to LPD’s wonderful suggestion of getting the first 2 albums, to get his last two as well, Cloud Nine and Brainwashed. The bookends of his career are ranked by most as his best albums.
Extra Texture and Dark Horse are blah, each has a few good songs on them but a lot of cack in between. They are clearly albums that George just made to fulfill his recording contract, (even if he bloody has laryngitis on one of them, he still released it!!)

Thanks @Little Piggy Dragonguy and @AppleScruffJunior ! The only George album I have is Brainwashed, which I love love love. The next one I’m planning on getting is All Things Must Pass because it is a literal masterpiece, but I was curious about the box set. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind though!

I have to respectfully disagree with ASJ on Extra Texture . It is a really beautiful album smooth as butter all the way through.

It should also be noted that this box set was later followed (2014) by the eight-disc The Apple Years 1968-75 that featured Wonderwall Music (1968), Electronic Sounds (1969), All Things Must Pass (1970), Living in the Material World (1973), Dark Horse (1974), Extra Texture (1975), and a DVD of interview, background, song videos and live performances.

You can buy it from George’s website if you want to pay more than Amazon sells it for + shipping fees.

You could buy it from eBay as well. Just check the seller’s rating and feedback beforehand.
I’m a big fan of buying used CDs, I find it difficult to pay 20 quid for a CD/DVD that’s been out for 10 years. Just feel like I’m being ripped off. If you have the time you can check is it worth buying them individually rather than as a set. You can get the Dark Horse years DVD separately at a low-enough price as well.

Looks like George’s official site has the apple years set and the complete set but I’m not seeing Dark Horse set.

It may be my favorite GH album.

High praise… if it’s better than Brainwashed it must be freaking revolutionary.

I think some don’t like it because it’s got a melancholy vibe.

That makes sense. I mean, if you listen closely, you can hear that it’s really a collection of songs about dying. Which can be depressing, for sure, but the songs are just amazing.
I mean that Extra Texture is melancholy, but you’re right.

Brainwashed is an amazing album!
Rising sun, looking for my life, any road, run so far, stuck inside a cloud, and of course the instrumental master piece Marwa blues
These songs are real gems…
George’s music and songs are really beyond time…
From Extra Texture i like : the answers in the end, tired of midnight blue, world of stone, can’t stop thinking about you, this guitar…
Ah His guitar playing in oh baby….George had a magic guitar touch…

I’m the same, tho I have never bought anything from eBay. A little hunting around online and you will get used cd’s for a few quid or less.
Having said that, if you wait many sets will be reduced in cost after 6 months to a year or so if you can wait that long.
I bought George’s ‘Apple Years’ box for a few quid legitimately as a hi-res download last year. Word was passed on another forum about the insane price and it went thru the site checkout without issue.
