This one is my steadfast favourite out of George’s albums. Other rankings change but I always have a soft spot for this one.

I’m a big fan of the electric piano on Not Guilty . The Beatles outtake is great too, but this version has a much smoother feel.

I still need to hear the Beatles’ version but I agree that Not Guilty is amazing. So is Soft-Hearted Hana. And, y’know, every other song on the album…

God I love that vocal. It sounds so ethereal and so… George. It’s beautiful.

Good bass on this one, definitely more enthusiastic. Amazing.
Esher demo:
Divine. In every way. Poor unappreciated George.
It’s Long, Long, Long all over again, thanks a million @Beatlebug !

AHHHHHH SAME
tbh this whole album is absolutely golden
Ahhh I know and it’s so underrated too. Well, at least in my experience it is– I have yet to meet someone IRL who has listened to this album.

Me too. It’s very relaxed. Here Comes The Moon is particularly nice

lovelyritametermaid, all things must pass, WeepingAtlasCedarsI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’ve just published a feature on this album. See here.
I can’t say I really love it. Late 70s George was really not my thing. But hey, onwards to the next one…

Just love it. It contains some of his most melodically beautiful songs and gives off a warm and calming vibe. Side 1 is probably his best set of songs outside of ATMP .
He sounds so happy and content here. The album has real soul to it.
