Wow that's expensive for sure! I always forget that the currency in England is more expensive than the dolar. There goes my dreams of living in England.. unless I marry a rich man
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
Beware of Darkness…
I think it's supposed to be worth around £15 million nowadays, though I'm not sure where I read that. Property in the UK is quite expensive.

in the book Still the greatest i’ve read- and i belive it, sadly- that though George and Olivia took a low profile after the accident, actually abram nearly killed George. it’s not strange that nopt long after the cancer disease reappered. George could have lived ten years longer. the author of the book, Dogget i think i don’t remeber now, says that two Beatles were killed, not only John. i fear he’s not far from truth

I used to have have one on-one-self-defense instruction from a guy at a Marlow sports club. He was also Olivier’s personal trainer. He said with pride that he’d always taught her to use anything that comes to hand. Lucky she was paying attention.

Damn good advice and one to remember and put into action if ever attacked.

I just remembered this guy was also a landscape gardener………and that’s how he originally made contact with the Harrisons……..George’s love of peaceful and contemplative gardens led in the end to Olivier grasping the chance to save his life.
Funny old world.

I think that if Abram’s attack hadn’t happened or been foiled, George would still be with us. George had recovered so thoroughly from the throat cancer scare in ’97, and was now completely off smoking and secondhand smoke as well, unlike, say, Eddie Van Halen, who refused to get the point.
Things weren’t the same after the incident, and George’s psychic mindset and body shifted, so the cancer returned and metastasized. Partially because George was effectively preparing himself to die. If the incident was removed, George would still very much be living in the material world and making the most of it.
George would still be making music, and also even want to do some more one-off concerts here and there. (He would still be off the idea of touring, because that’s just what he was at this point), and I could imagine that George would also be keeping track of new Beatles-related releases and projects, especially because of what Dhani would be telling him.
I still don’t think we’d ever get “Now And Then “, nor should we, because the two reunion singles were enough and you can’t really beat what was accomplished there, and it’s also such a definite finality to end with “Real Love .”

Does anyone know how Michael Abram got into Friar Park when he hurt George. I know that George had an elaborate alarm system going and how did he find George in the house since there are 120 rooms.
I don’t know how he got onto the grounds. But from the accounts I’ve read he threw himself through a large glass window. The noise woke up George and Olivia, and George went to investigate. When George got to the top of the stairs they saw each other and the guy rushed him while George was chanting Hare Krishna at him.
From that, I would say that if you chose the largest window to crash through, I imagine it would likely be one of the main living areas. George’s bedroom was apparently on the second floor. But the guy didn’t find George, George found him. Makes you wonder what would have happened if they had tried to escape the house, but you can hardly blame George for wanting to investigate.

My understanding was Abrams simply climbed the walls at friar park – I understand there had been objections to the Harrisons putting cctv on the surrounds of their property. He used a statue to break the window and gain entry.
Guy was a complete nut job, George was so unfortunate.

While what happened to George was appalling, and god bless Olivia for her actions that night, I object to Abrams being referred to as a “complete nut job”.
He is someone who has suffered with mental health issues, medically diagnosed before the attack on George, and unfortunately what happened to George was as a result of an ongoing illness that wasn’t being properly treated.
However much I hate what happened that night, referring to someone who had clear mental health issues, and was ill at the time, as a “nut job” is demeaning. As someone who has had my share of mental health issues over the years, and is on two different medications a day to help me cope with them, I had hoped the days were gone when we dismissed those suffering from mental health issues as nut jobs.
I don’t like him. I don’t like what he did. But I recognise his illness caused the events, and feel there is no need to bring in playground taunts to refer to someone who was unwell at the time.

I don’t want to offend anyone and I’m truly sorry you have had these problems in your life but I don’t have any sympathy for Abrams I’m afraid. I don’t really care about ‘demeaning’ him one iota. And let’s be clear it’s 100% him I’m demeaning here not you.
What he did was unforgivably cruel, evil and merits a bit of extreme language in my opinion. A lot stronger than I said as well.
I’ll leave it at that.
