Favorite Beatles Harrisong: While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Favorite solo Harrisong: gah, this is harder. It’s definitely from All Things Must Pass . Let’s say Run Of The Mill , because it helped me through a very rough period of my life. I’m not one to cry, much less to a song, but that son made me sob. I will be eternally grateful to George for helping me get through that time.

Favourite Beatles Harrisong – It’s All Too Much with Here Comes The Sun , Something and I Need You close contenders.
Favourite solo Harrisong – Beware Of Darkness but I also love Brainwashed, one of his last, and of course, All Things Must Pass .

Here Comes The Sun and Something are Heads and Shoulders above anything else he wrote but is still saying a lot.
Solo, I’d say All Things Must Pass and I have a huge soft spot for Heading for the Light.

My favourite George ‘Beatle’ song is ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ … would be in my Top 5 Beatle songs!
Favourite George solo song? Most likely ‘Isn’t It A Pity ‘, ‘Behind That Locked Door ‘ or ‘What Is Life ?’ If I ever hear a George song on the radio, it really brings a smile to my face!

Not an easy question. Something , The Inner Light , It’s All Too Much , Old Brown Shoe and While My Guitar Gently Weeps come to mind. But there are even more. As you can see with my Beatles Top 30, about a third of them are Harrisongs. In my opinion, Lennon and McCartney may have provided more songs, but not necessarily more masterpieces. All three have about the same amount of huge highlights, which makes Harrison probably the strongest Beatle songwriter for me. Because unlike the other two, he barely had any songs that were “only” good.
As for his solo material, I mostly know All Things Must Pass and Cloud Nine , and there is great stuff on both. Also with the Traveling Wilburys and I love one of his latest compositions: Horse To The Water. But the best would still be My Sweet Lord . Or Wah-Wah . Or Isn’t It A Pity .
