I think I may have just discovered one of my new favorite Harrisongs actually, though my pick may surprise you.It’s actually I Don’t Care Anymore. Ya know, the extremely obscure b-side from the Dark Horse sessions? I’m not exactly sure why I love it so much, and it’ll probably never top my all-time favorites (Isn’t It A Pity , Hear Me Lord , Here Comes The Sun , The Light That Has Lighted The World, All Things Must Pass ), but that particular song has just really grown on me lately. I think the reason why is… well, just how much George doesn’t care. I mean he literally says “come on everybody, we’ve got a b-side to make, so let’s just get right to it” at the beginning of the song. Also, Dark Horse is an album about change and loss, and I always listen to I Don’t Care Anymore right after the album’s done, and it’s pretty effective.

I actually quite enjoy that song too. It could be better produced but then again, that would defeat the object of a song where George doesn’t care anymore!
Apart from the incredibly annoying Jew’s harp part played in the background.
More Jew’s harp in the ‘phones – No thanks George, it’s fine without.

@pepperland
Actually, I read somewhere that he overdubbed the Jew’s harp (or jaw harp, whatever you wanna call it) part later, so I think he’s saying “more juice in the ‘phones”. ‘Juice’ as in electricity, not fruit. I could be wrong of course, but that’s what it sounds like to me.
Anyway, I’ve been listening to the unreleased track Window Window quite a lot lately. Very Dylan!

Your theory makes much more sense but I can definitely make out the word ‘harp’, so who knows? Maybe he said it in anticipation of overdubbing the Jew’s harp?

That may be so. Maybe it’s one of those studio mysteries that we’ll never know for sure. Like how nobody knows for sure how John Bonham did the percussion in Ramble On.

I’d have to say Within You Without You is my favourite. (I have an unhealthy obsession with sitars) But I also love While My Guitar Gently Weeps , Long Long Long, Don’t Bother Me , I Me Mine , Wah Wah , Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth), My Sweet Lord , oh I think I love all of them. Never mind.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Agreed. It is stunning. The drums are like a sequel to A Day In The Life and the production is perfect.

Dark Sweet Lady and Your Love Is Forever capture the essence of George in my opinion. Such a sweet and gentle somgwriter. He could depict love like no other

This is easy, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is hands down my favorite Harrisong (and is probably my favorite Beatles song as well). Other ones that i really like include Something , Here Comes The Sun , and Think For Yourself . My least favorite one is probably You Like Me Too Much .

I would say The Inner Light is my favourite George song from his Beatle years (followed by Old Brown Shoe and Taxman ). A while back it was I Want To Tell You , but admittedly, I’m a bit bored with that song now. My favourite George song from his solo years is What Is Life (followed by Blow Away and It Is He (Jai Sri Krishna))

That song will forever remind me of the Harrisonette.
