Before I create a new topic, I’m looking for an appropriate place to put in a comment about how Joe should list “cowbell” among the instruments played on “A Hard Day’s Night ” — and also did I already comment about that long ago under my former name “Funny Paper”…?
It might have been an accidental omission, or it might have been that I was unsure of who played cowbell. Ian MacDonald didn’t mention it, and I think I relied on him for the line-up of that song. But it was Ringo, so I’ve amended the article, and also credited Norman Smith for bongos (MacDonald says Ringo played them, but he didn’t).

If Pineapple Records wanted a fresh start, I see nothing wrong that, and don’t think he should be quizzed on why he decided to leave Funny Paper behind. His reasons may well be personal. I’m just happy he decided to rejoin us, and that he’s never pretended to be someone completely new to the forum.

Offline I’ve been so busy of late, I see I have a lot of catching up to do. First, thanks Joe! In another life, I would be a global advocate of cowbell players (“Percussionists Without Borders”)…
unknown asked about my nickname change — yeah, what Silly Girl said, I wanted a fresh start. Also, people may not know this about me, but in other online venues, like discussion forums or chat rooms, I tend to like to change my nickname a lot, just for variety (like putting on a new shirt every other day). On BB, I’ve actually been rather conservative in that regard…
However, I must disagree with regard to passwords: I’ve had a devil of a time trying to get back in as Pineapple Records using my new password — it kept wanting me to be Funny Paper! I’m not even sure how I succeeded, but here I am…

My copy and paste is not working at the moment so I’ll give you searching instructions.
Do an advanced search for “topic titles only” and type in the word scream. There’s a thread for Paul and a thread discussing who has the best screaming voice. There’s also a thread discussing John v Paul screaming.
