The first thread I thought of was Songs by other bands that sound “Beatles-ish”, but that probably doesn’t quite get what your after.
Take a look at this post in the thread If the Beatles never existed, who would you be listening to?, the one after it, and a couple of posts on the next page. I just found this thread Best Beatles Influenced Band https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..nced-band/. Perhaps a merge is in order?
@Ahhh Girl. The latter isnt what i’m after as its not ‘best band’ i’m after. The other doesnt really fit either. 
Not even sure a merge would work with these two.

Offline Is there a thread about the whole Lennon/McCartney songwriting controversy — about who might have contributed what to certain songs — i.e., if it’s really a McCartney song, did John contribute anything to it, and vice versa?
I did a provisional search through the first 8 pages of the 38-page “Songs” forum section, then working back from page 38 to page 30 — then my mouse got tired…

Offline I found a song that isn’t mentioned (as far as I can find) anywhere on the site. It’s one John wrote in Rishikesh and isn’t a serious song, nowhere near good enough to record and release. It’s called ‘The Happy Rishikesh song, there are several copies on youtube but none has more than a few thousand views. It certainly sounds like the real John. I’m wanting to post the youtube somewhere. There are some other one-off tunes, Commonwealth (unfinished) is one. Is it just that Joe had to draw the line somewhere? They were so prolific at Rishikesh, I’m sure there are more of these out there. Thanks!
