So I didn’t really know where to put this, but I decided to leave it here since it fits best.
@Ahhh Girl has posted a search guide in the past, I believe, but if that brings you no luck, here’s the thread where you can ask if a thread of your description exists, to save forum clutter, mods’ time, and to make it easier to find the thread of your choice.
This isn’t for getting other people to do the searches for you (lazy git ), but if you’re still unsure after a search, or if you want to discuss whether your thread idea deserves a separate post, you can do it here.
and if this thread existed beforehand i swear you better run for your lives if you can

We could set up a thread for folk to ask where the thread is for asking for help in finding if other threads exists before posting new threads.

… to find threads!
I thought this was going to be a thread to get others to search for you when I read the title, so thanks for clarifying.

I don’t know if my title is the best. What I’m trying to convey is a topic where people here on Beatles Bibles can find old posts “with a little help from their friends”.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve remember I posted something here a long time ago — or I saw someone else’s post from long ago — but search as I may (searching here and through Google), I still can’t find it.
So if anyone is trying to find an old post or comment, and they can’t find it, they can post the question here, and others can try to help.
Does that sound like a worthwhile new topic…?
To inaugurate this topic, I’ll ask this: A long time ago, someone gave me a link to the isolated track of Paul’s “vocal bass” for I Will . I must have spent like 30 minutes trying to find that, and after tearing out half the hair of my moptop, I came up with nothing!

She may hate me for this, @Funny Paper, but the answer is – ask @Ahhh Girl. There ain’t no search like an Ahhh Girl search!!!!

I’m digging. I haven’t found the isolated track yet. I’m not sure what all you have already come across in your searches. If you haven’t found these threads, perhaps they will jog your memory.
https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..-its-peak/ (I Will is mentioned for the first time in post 8)
https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..ass-track/
https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..ass-lines/ (post 3)
https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..ne/page-4/ (post 67)
I am on my phone so it isn’t easy for me to post links directly to those posts so that’s why I gave the page url and the post number.
Also, my phone isn’t wanting to play this video so I don’t know if it is what you are looking for, but I found this on another site
http://www.feelnumb.com/2009/0…..on-i-will/
And, if none of this is helpful, perhaps another forumpudlian will have an idea.
As for going forward on topic, I’ve learned that human intervention is going to be needed as long as this forum exists. Job security, eh @Joe? Take this thread for example:

Thanks so much Ron Nasty, Joe, and Ahhh Girl for all your links. Two of those links I had found in my scrambling search already. This topic title is a much better title for what I was thinking of.
I can’t believe I was able to find that isolated track all on my own (and I’m sure I’m not imagining my memory of having listened to it one day several months ago or so) — especially since I’ve been unable to track it down (pun intended!) on YouTube after spending a half hour now looking. Interestingly, on YouTube when you search for an isolated track of “I Will ” you get several isolated tracks of OTHER Beatles songs, but not this one…

I am wondering if the video you remember has been taken down. I see several items in the list that say [Deleted Video].

I did a search and came across a handful of posts with videos that have since either been deleted, removed or are now private on youtube so would make sense.

Is there an old thread about how some songs sung by John would not sound good sung by Paul, and vice versa (and also throwing in George and Ringo as well)?
I wanted to note in response to Ahhh Girl in a recent thread when she said she’d like to see Paul include “Girl” in a concert that that song is one of the few I think that only John can do justice to (though I wouldn’t mind Paul giving it the old college try…)

@Funny Paper, I think you could incorporate that thought into this thread. You might just need to preface the post with the idea that you are talking about the opposite – sounding worse. In fact, if you like, since you created the thread, we can open it up to include vice versa. Just let me know if you want a topic title change.

@Matt Busby (as a carry over from the Ringo drumming question) and everyone, if you ever have a question about whether a thread on a topic exists, feel free to ask here in this thread. I or someone (or both) will see if we can find one on the topic.
