Least favourite. No offense, but Macca has a real punch me face on this one.

Does anyone have that series of photos where Paul, John and a few others are in an office, and Paul scrambles over the table and sits on the floor beside John?

There’s a ton and I prefer the un-posed one’s best, I love Linda McCartney’s photos of the Beatles during the Abbey Road Photo Shoot. It’s so well known, but it makes me smile and I can’t help imagining- having watched Get Back – this unidentified lady (it looks like she has an overall on) has just popped out of Abbey Rd Studios to tell them their tea and toast is ready, so they better get a move on:
I know she didn’t but…

All the millions who would spend hours travelling and standing around in weathers of all kinds thru thru the years only to get a fleeting glimpse whilst an old lady wanders out of her home one morning and has a chat with all four.

I know, myself included; looping around Abbey Rd and Cavendish Ave – in the absence of serendipity. A fleeting glimpse would be more than enough. Where is a tardis when you need one?
I love the photo because she is having a chat with them, many bands at that point, would have been scowling, but they are not.

Okay, I found the photos, but they’re not great quality, and I don’t know anything about them
I *love* that Paul has John’s flower in his hair at the end. Does anyone have any more details about them?

Great photos. Possibly the original Apple office they rented in Wigmore Street. Since there is only John and Paul, perhaps middle of June 1968? when George and Ringo were in the US. Or is it Savile Row when they moved in July?
Top photo left to right with Denis O’Dell, Magic Alex, ? Brian Lewis, Ron Kass, Neil Aspinall and then Derek Taylor with John.
Lower Photo with Peter Brown in the centre.

Here are the first two in better quality:
(Couldn’t find the second without that frame, maybe how it was originally printed?)
They’re taken by Jane Bown (one of first female Fleet Street photographers when she joined The Observer in the early-50s), who photographed them several times – it’s worth looking up her photographs of them at East Ham in November 1963, and she also took many of the Knole Park photographs when she stumbled across them making the Penny Lane /Strawberry Fields promo films while out walking her dog.
Yeah, I’d say Wigmore Street, May/June 1968. Would have been taken for an Observer article, possibly around the launch of Apple, which was largely fronted by John and Paul (it was them who took the trip to the US to announce it there).
The people there, who @Penny Lane got right, suggest that when you look at their job titles it may have been a “Meet the team”-type thing…
left-right standing: Denis O’Dell (head of Apple Films); Paul; Alex Mardas (head of Apple Electronics); Brian Lewis (O’Dell’s assistant); Ronald Kass (head of Apple Music); with Neil Aspinall (managing director of Apple) seated beside desk; Peter Brown (board of directors) sat behind desk, hidden by John in first; John, seated in front of desk; and Derek Taylor (head of Press Department) on floor alongside John.

I’m not sure that’s entirely fair, @sigh butterfly, as most were successful before and after their tenure with Apple in similar roles elsewhere (with the exception being Magic Alex). I think the problem with Apple was that they didn’t give Neil the final say. It was often a case of if they didn’t like Neil’s answer they’d go around him to one or more of the Beatles. The basic flaw was that business wasn’t structured efficiently and so didn’t operate efficiently, rather than the ability of the people they put in place.

That’s brilliant, thanks @Ron Nasty !
I reckon if I hadn’t watched Get Back I’d be more confused about how Paul got up on the table like that, but his easy physicality was one of the most striking things about the show. Having watched him casually hop up onto and over that chair in the middle of a cluttered room, I can totally picture it now
edited to add: Oh my goodness, Jane Bown’s photography is amazing!
