Unfortunately, I don’t have much information to go by, but I’ll do my best.
I believe the time period was late 70s, perhaps early 80s.
The source was a thick book full of photos taken by Linda, mostly of Paul and family photos. There may have been some music notation also.
The photo was of Paul sitting or leaning against a fence, wearing a complete cowboy type outfit or equestrian suit — very extreme in appearance mostly white and precious, like a children’s cowboy get-up. (There might have been a lot of tassles and frills & fringe and stuff, too.)
What I found priceless about the photo besides the costume was Paul’s expression on his face: he looks like a miserable little boy — miserable because he has to be all gussied up posing for a photo session. I’ve rarely seen Paul look anything other than mellow, relaxed, warm, charismatic.

I’m not into Cowboys, but for Paul I make an exception. 
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

It could well be; but I can’t remember the book cover. Somehow, though, I have a dim memory of the cover having more white in it and not being from a previously photo (as this one is).

Offline Omg, me too! I don’t know why, but babies with brown hair are just so much cuter to me than other babies. Even if they’re not actually all that cute of a baby, them having brown hair makes up for their face. I love this picture, Paul is seriously the cutest ever.

Offline You gals with a crush on Paul would love another rare photo I recall (but alas cannot find) which Linda took of him, early morning he’s just woken up, sitting up on the edge of the bed, she’s aiming the camera at his bare back and he’s buck naked, and he’s leaning his head down with his arms in a position that looks to me like he must be putting in contact lenses.
Did/Does Paul wear contact lenses?
