a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 That's awesome!! But Ringo was left-handed but learned to do other things with his right hand.

I don't have a picture of this, but during the Another Girl scene in Help !, I saw Ringo casually playing guitar.

In that same scene George is playing the bass left- handed like Paul would, Paul is playing a girl, and John is playing drums. I'm pretty sure they're pretend- playing there. I really like that scene so I kinda know a bit about it.

According to all the sources that I have checked out, Ringo plays guitar on a lot of the Beaucoups of Blues album.  I’m guessing that it is probably mostly basic strumming, but there are a lot of singer-songwriters that get away with that!  There are a lot of guitarists on that album though.

Ooh, I’ve just found this on the internet – http://fromunderthebasement.bl…..wylie.html

A snippet – Ringo Starr contributes vocals, guitar, handclaps and shakers to the album’s one cover, his own “Coochy Coochy.” ahdn_ringo_09

It’s funny that this is a thread because Ringo ACTUALLY did play guitar on a Beatles recording, sort of:

You see, according to recently discovered documents, we have found out that Ringo tapped on the back of John Lennon ‘s Gibson J-160E on the backing track for I Need You while John played the snare drum.

      I play guitar, A – D – E,

I don’t play bass ’cause it’s too hard for me,

     I play piano if it’s in C!

If I recall correctly…  The sleeve for the ‘It Don’t Come Easy/Early 1970’ single (don’t know if it was the U.S. or U.K. version) sports a nice photo of Rings strumming away also…:-)
