Question: Does Macca own copyright to his own image?

Just lately I caught a bit of news story on the radio, but not the whole story. It sounded like some lawyer was saying that a person can copyright his/her own image, thereby deriving income from royalties on own image. Never heard of that. Anybody know about this? I’m sure if it’s at all legally possible, then Macca will be raking in the bucks – and controlling use of his image – thereby.
