That is a funny article – thanks for sharing it with us. Long live “those four kooks”!
Here is the picture inserted…
Not to be mean towards the guy, but how can you not recognize the Beatles.
Before May 26th of this year (2013), I wouldn’t have.

Oh, well no hard feelings.
Oh, my. None meant or taken. I just thought you might find it interesting that a total Beatlemaniac could develop in such a short amount of time … and from a middle-aged woman at that.

It depends on where you’re interests lie. One Direction are huge and everywhere, they have 5 members, and the only one i could pick out of an identity parade is Harry Styles, don’t even know the first names of the others, also couldn’t name you 2 Harry Potter books or the most recent Star Wars film titles.

True. After some of these reasons I can see why now.

George Martin was not born in a prison. I believe the confusion arises as he is often referenced to being born “in Holloway”. Holloway is a famous female prison in the north of London. However, the prison is named after the area in which it’s situated, Holloway. GM was born in the Holloway area of London, not the prison.

I hadn’t heard that story before. Funny how these Beatles myths keep coming, isn’t it? Anyway, it made me think of this:

It’s rather annoying how so many of these myths are born straight from plain old misinformation and lazy research more than anything else!

As has been strongly implied elsewhere on this forum, I am also a big fan of Cream. I’m in a couple groups related to Cream on Facebook, and this photo has been getting passed around quite a bit.
From left to right: Ahmet Ertegun (founder/president, Atlantic Records), Jack Bruce (bass), Eric Clapton (guitar), Ginger Baker (drums), Brian Epstein.
Apparently, it’s from sometime in late 1966. I hadn’t seen this photo before a couple weeks ago. It’s so odd to see Brian Epstein with another band.

Looks right to me, @sigh butterfly. I’d guess it was taken in Spain (probably Brian’s favourite holiday spot) in either 1965 or 1966.

Sorry in advance for bringing back a post from all those years ago, but I just had too! D’AAAAAAAAW, KLAUS! This is the first time I’ve ever seen this picture (or a picture of Klaus as a wee one in general)! I sure wish there were more photos like this…. (Boy, do I love Klaus!)
