The man in the bow tie is television and radio presenter Brian Matthew:
He hosted Saturday Club and Top Gear on BBC Radio, and Thank Your Lucky Stars on ITV.
The picture looks to be 1964, so I would suggest it likely that it was taken backstage during an appearance on one of those three shows (Matthew also presented Easy Beat for BBC Radio, but all The Beatles appearances on that show were in 1963, which looks too early for me).

I have had a look at pictures of Brian Mathew with the Beatles in 1963-4 online and he looks a lot older than the chap in my photo. There is an uncanny resemblance. he does looks like a younger version of Brian Mathew. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the pic and info. Another presenter who looks a bit like him (however, on closer inspection of the facial features, I do not think he’s my man)! Did they clone presenters in the 60’s!

when I came back to find all but the first gone.
The first:
was taken during an enforced stopover at the Key Wester Motel in Key West, Florida on 10 September 1964.
(They were meant to be having a day off in Jacksonville, but were diverted due to a hurricane. Interestingly, when Paul sings, “What about the night we cried / Because there wasn’t any reason left to keep it all inside,” in his tribute to John, Here Today , he is referring to that night. Read about it all in Joe’s article.)
The next two photos of George, while the exact date is uncertain, are from Astrid Kirchherr’s first photo session with The Beatles at the Hamburger Dom Fairground in October 1960.
One of my favourite Beatles photos ever was also taken that day:
I will get onto some of the others later, if I’m not beaten to it.

Offline I did some checking – that was taken in Japan, during their 1966 tour of Japan.
I also believe that was taken at the Budokan, from what I found.

Offline @The Hole Got Fixed was pretty close. It’s John returning to the Tokyo Hilton after a shopping trip and a visit to an art exhibition with Neil Aspinall on 1 July. Despite all the talk that they couldn’t get out of the hotel during this trip, they did. On the same day Paul managed to sneak out with Mal to do some sightseeing, as shown by these photos of Paul and Mal near the Imperial Palace:

Online Pool and elevator written in English in a Japanese hotel in the 1960’s.
While in Japan on that 1966 tour, John had no idea he would meet a woman of Japanese heritage (Yoko) just 4 months later.

Offline My thought is that it doesn’t look like a party, @Ahhh Girl.
It looks more like they’re doing something and it’s attracted a crowd of onlookers, many of whom look like tourists.
My suggestion would be filming Help ! in the Bahamas in late February/early March 1965.
The second picture could also well be from the Bahamas Help ! filming.

Second photo is 100% from filming Help! in the Bahamas, here’s another photo of Paul and John at the Bahamas in which they’re both wearing the same exact outfits.
I wouldn’t doubt it if the first photo was taken in the Bahamas as well.
