John Lennon negatives - advice | Fab Forum | The Beatles Bible

Hi All

First time post so apologies if I’ve posted in the wrong section.

I was going through some of deceased (2009) father’s bits and pieces, and have come across 25 or so negatives of John Lennon , 8 by himself in a studio environment and 19 of John and Yoko in what looks like an apartment in NYC… but could be anywhere. I realize my maths doesn’t add up but a one or two maybe out of focus.

Looks like they from 1970, as there’s a calendar on the wall showing Monday the 9th of Feb and there’s only so many Mondays that fall on the 9th of Feb.

I know he had a couple of photographer friends that did shoots for Rolling Stone back in the 60/70s, all passed away by now I believe. If he had the negatives they would have been a gifted to him, he never mentioned them to me growing up so was a bit of a surprise to find.

So… I’ve no idea where to go to sell them on, or for what price? Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t have any copyright on them as I just found in a box.

I contacted Omega auctions in Warrington, UK, who gave me a ballpark figure for auction (£1200) but no clue if this is the right way to go or is an accurate figure.
