For the first time in my life I’ve come across what I believe are as-yet-unknown photos of the Beatles. A student brought them into a class I was teaching, saying that her mother had taken them at a concert. The student didn’t know when, but they look to be 1964 (collarless jackets, anyway). It looks like standard backstage shots, with Paul, George and Ringo and then two unidentified persons (at least I don’t know who they are, though a woman standing near Ringo might be Maureen – in fact I think there’s a good chance that’s her).
Obviously I don’t know for sure, but I suspect these photos have never been seen before outside of the student’s family. They’re original prints, as far as I can tell, the old square Kodak Brownie kind. Of course it’s possible that they’re photos of photos and already well-known. I don’t think they are, but of course they might be.
So of course for me it’s pretty exciting to get to see what I assume are otherwise unknown photos of the Beatles, but I’m not involved enough to have no idea whether that’s an everyday occurrence around here or a rare event. Or something in-between.

Can you scan them or take a picture and post them? If you don’t want everyone to see the pictures at first, you could email the photos to @Joe, the creator of this site. He can most likely tell you if they are “unknown” by the public at large.

The student would (should) be thrilled if she finds out she has unseen Beatles photos.

Oddly, she wasn’t interested at all, but recognized that I am. She gave me the photos tonight. I’ve put them into a safe, labeled them with her name and the date and what info I have. I made sure she understands that if they’re worth anything she’ll get them/the money. I still have no idea about that. But she insisted on giving them to me, and I’m very happy to have them to keep them safe.
By the way, Joe did say that he has never seen them before. I’m pretty sure they’re legit.
Also the person I think is Maureen in one of them is clearly somewhat pregnant, which I believe dates them to early-to-mid-1965, right?
