Looking for an image of the band wearing a giant jumper/sweater that covers all four of them. My stepdad is convinced it exists but cannot find any evidence anywhere. Can anyone help?
Maybe he was thinking of this, from the movie Help ! —

The jumper did exist. It also played a small part in the recording of Revolver , particularly ‘Tomorrow Never Knows ‘. From Joe’s article on the song:
I moved the bass drum microphone much closer to the drum than had been done before. There’s an early picture of The Beatles wearing a woollen jumper with four necks. I stuffed that inside the drum to deaden the sound. Then we put the sound through Fairchild 660 valve limiters and compressors. It became the sound of Revolver and Pepper really. Drums had never been heard like that before.”

A picture of it, however, is proving to be hard to find.

The conversation on this page https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..er/page-6/ made me think of this thread. This probably isn’t the answer to the initial question, but it is semi-related. I can see how a mind might think of this as one jumper as the memory fades and gets fuzzy.

I saw those pics, but could not tell if the sweaters were connected to each other or not. Given the unnatural way their arms hang, I suppose it is possible. Too bad we could not find one of all four Beatles together wearing it (them?).

You can see the photo in question in back of the Beatles during the live performance bit toward the end of the Hard Day’s Night film, IIRC…
EDIT: just checked and I was mistaken. I’ve definitely seen that photo, though, I used to have it in a book ages ago. Can’t seem to find it at all now online…

Hi just found your post and it made me really happy. Started thinking about the sweater last night, it was I who made it(With A Little Help From My Friends ) We sent it to The Beatles fan club for Christmas 1964 and they wore it every night on stage in their Christmas show. There were some photos in the music papers and Beatles monthly. The photo was also in the Beatles book by Geoffrey Stokes, the one with the Warhol cover.
