Offline Most of the time it’s not allowed, but in this case, it was probably commissioned. That mural’s been there for at least as long as I’ve lived in LA (20 years – and you can kind of see the paint on John has peeled).

This is a mural on Santa Monica Blvd. heading east towards the 101 freeway that I’ve been meaning to snap for the longest time. Interesting choice of images from the Mad Day Out shoot.
Someday I’ll go back and shoot a higher-res version, but I had the red light and finally remembered to just go ahead and get something.
