[Mod edit: This is a merge of two different Beatles artwork threads. Please post any Beatles-related art that you think is worth sharing. If it’s your own work please don’t spam the forum, or it (and your account) might be removed.]
Let us see your pictures, poems, crafts, etc!
I think fan art is fun (most of the time), and I wanted to share mine, so…
Earlier this week I saw this picture:
and I thought, “That’s cool. I wonder if I could put a Beatle on toast”. So here is my attempt.
What do you think?
Note by Ahhh Girl 10 June 2014: Posts 1-28 were originally a thread titled “Fan Art”. Then Mr. Kite revived the thread and posted his picture again in this thread. I left both of his posts when I merged the two threads.
Another Day , another note 28 July 2014: Annadog40 found another art thread. It consisted of posts 29-80.

I like that! What's he doing with his nostril, though? I looks a little like he's snorting something unmentionable…
I'd love to have a go at the fan art thing, but unfortunately my efforts wouldn't be much better than the four-year-old Julian Lennon's painting of Lucy in the Sky. It's a real shame, as my parents both went to art school – you'd have thought some of it would have rubbed off on me.

Haha, that's excellent! I think I'll give some poetry a go; it is what i'd like to be when I'm older, that or a writer. I have a poem called Mother Nature's Daughter, though it really has nothing to do with the poem, as well as 'The Long And Winding Road ' thrown into that one as well, and also “the seven levels of life” referring to Paul's stoned epiphany.
I'll try to brainstorm and post something within the week!
Tongue, lose thy light. Moon, take thy flight… see ya, George!

Well if “Pepsi” is unmentionable…
I wanted something that was easy to recognize. I guess it sort of worked?
Alissa – some poetry would be great!
Joe – I don't know, stick figures seem to work for this guy. xkcd.com

Oops – I forgot about that AHDN scene
It's a funny thing to put into a family-friendly film. Would The Beatles have had much exposure to coke by early 1964? I'd have thought that all came much later, around 1967.

Probably not a lot of exposure but enough to be ironic. I remember kids making LSD jokes in 4th grade, but that was in the 90s. It still makes me laugh to think of John Lennon blushing at the idea that one of his songs had a reference to marijuana.

What's brilliant about this little scene is it went over people's heads and I'm sure many had no idea what he was doing. Today it would either be cut or given a 15 certificate

So I guess you liked it? Here’s to another year!
Very much so! And yes, let’s make the next year even better. Thanks so much to all of you for making the site a success – it would be rubbish if I was here just talking to myself.
Now, where did I leave the corkscrew?

Give it a few years Joe and we might have to think about having a few of us ‘toasting’ together!
