It looks to me like they were going for camp French stereotypes – baguettes, berets, Inspector Javert hat, blonde with permanently bent knee… They just needed an accordion and a mime to be complete.

Honestly, it has to be this one.
Paul’s hair looks… thin.
John’s beard… I don’t like beards that much to be honest.
Something about Ringo that makes him awkward.
And George just looking away from the camera. x3

Oh, I got the French stereotypes intent as a whole. I meant that first photo specifically: What exactly was the point of having Paul looking semi-dopily at George? Couldn’t Paul have been given his own stupid hat? It’s mystifying!

Offline A shame that some of the initial pictures posted are now gone. I quite like this thread, some of the most wacky Beatles pictures ever!
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 
but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I have never liked this picture– they all look like zombies. Its usual effect is to make me forget why I ever thought they were good-looking in the first place.

That pic was used for the cover of ‘Love Songs‘ in 1977 but with Paul and Ringo’s placement switched due to how big Paul was with Wings. I need to playlist ‘Love Songs’, one of my favourite albums ever.

Offline I just looked at post 7 again. I think I was just getting tripped up on the statement

Good lord, they all look …uncomfortable. Ringo looks bloated tbh…I saw something about wide angle lens so maybe it’s being on the edge of the frame that’s causing some distortion. There’s also his funky eyebrow that looks half-shaved off?
