I got it moved over.
Here’s the picture for reference.
I’ve learned that if I want pictures to stay and not disappear, I do them as attachments. AD40 has been helping me find some pictures that I posted from months ago that disappeared. I’m getting them added as attachments so I won’t have blank spaces in my posts.

Mad Day Out is, along with the April 1969 shoot, my favorite set of Beatles photos, so any new angles or pics from either of these is a-OK with me!

Some photos shot by then-19-year-old fan Michael Herring from 1968 have been released. The title is completely goofy, and Hunter Davies responds at the end of the article to the claim that the letter in George’s pocket was Paul’s resignation letter. But the photos are interesting and certainly well-preserved. That top one of George and John looks like it could have been some indie band from the present.

Posted at group I belong to – taken July 24, 1968 (four days before Mad Day Out) on the opening day of Juniper, Pattie’s art nouveau stall in the Chelsea Antique Market that she ran with assistance from sister Jenny Boyd for a few months. Some photos taken from this tumblr.
“Jenny and I took a stall in the antiques market in the King’s Road, and specialized in art nouveau. We called it Juniper – because of ‘Jennifer Juniper’ – and ran it for about a year. Jenny looked after the stall and I did the buying. I drove all over the country finding objects d’art, including a set of Fabergé menu holders, paintings, and knickknacks of the period.
Our stall was next door to an antiquarian bookseller. We didn’t make much money because we didn’t charge enough. I was always so pleased when someone liked what I had bought that I would almost give it away.”
– Pattie Boyd
^^ Someone commented that that’s Ivan Vaughn standing behind Paul.

Oh, the site where I found the pic said 68. Can’t trust any Beatles site other than this one. Thanks for the info.

The hair looks wrong for 1968, and Paul was carrying a bit more weight.

Maybe recording one of those White Album demos? …
also, what’s that thing about a “resignation” letter from Paul? Never heard that story before…
great pics, anyways.

Here’s George with Bob & family in probably November 1968 (probably around the time of the I’d Have You Anytime demo elsewhere here).

For some reason I thought this was the 1964 thread; when I scrolled up and saw @parlance’s post, I thought it was recent and I almost screamed PARLAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCE!!!!!!!!!!
then I realised it was from August…
