I’m not sure if I’m honest. Something to do with the background and the way his complexion looks, I think.

I don’t know if this is what you’re referring to, but I often find that pics of John from How I Won the War seem strangely unfamiliar. It’s an odd transition period between the “looks” we usually associate with John, between the round face of the early 60s and the more sculpted one of the late 60s/early 70s. Especially if he’s not wearing glasses, I sometimes do a double-take, like with these:

Is that a real picture? It looks… I dunno, strange.Well, the angle’s awkward. I’m sure it’s from the set of How I Won the War. What do you mean?

It’s the colour. It looks like it’s been colourized but it could just be a filter?
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I think it’s because of both of the above. There is something ”wrong” with the colour, but I agree with parlance that John’s looks somehow seemed to shift slightly at this point.

From the Examiner, five never before seen photos from Jim Marshall taken before and during the Candlestick Park show have been released. You can see them at the link. [x-posted at the news thread]

I’ve seen that first full-group shot numerous times over the years! But the four headshots are new to me.

I don't expect you... to understand after you've caused so much pain. But then again, you're just a human... a victim of the insane.

I saw this on a facebook page which claimed that it was taken in 1966. The similarity with Dhani here is uncanny.

So not only did the Beatles invent MTV, but George is showing us “selfies”. Way ahead of his time, once again!!!

@Georgous That actually looks rather more like Dhani. Are you quite sure it’s George?

Not a problem, but explain to Georgous why it’s moved to ’68 (which I assume is where you’ll move it), just so they have information.
