Yeah it had December as the month but their last performance at the Cavern was on the 3rd August 1963.

Examiner article on a newly released photo from 1963. The gallery claims it was the Cavern, but 1963 would be too late. The Examiner author said he’s checking into it.

Looks like they could be wearing the turtle necks they wore for the cover of With The Beatles . If fall of ’63 would be around the correct time for cover. Most likely form one of there tour dates for Fall of ’63. Thought for the article it would of been obvious it wasn’t August because of turtle necks.

Modeling Lybro jeans. I love the look on their faces: “Never again.”

I always thought they looked cool in these pics and those jeans are actually pretty stylish…I could see people totally wearing them even these days. Except for George’s…those look kind of s**t, at least at the bottom.

Great picture, @C.R.A.! Not sure I’ve seen it before. I’m happy that it’s early 1963, from one of those last Liverpool photo shoots. If you look at the hair, it’s not that different from the Please Please Me cover shot, and that’s definitely early 1963.

Harrison came to Illinois with his older brother, Peter, to hang out, play music, go camping and get a firsthand glimpse of life in the Midwest. While here he also did an interview on a radio station in West Frankfort, bought a Rickenbacker guitar in Mt. Vernon, jammed with a local band at a VFW Hall in Eldorado, bought records at a Benton music shop, hung out with coal miners at a Bocci Ball Club, lost (and recovered) his wallet, and turned heads and hearts with his “mop-top hair” and Liverpool accent.

@C.R.A., if you haven’t seen this post, you might find it interesting. The posts on the previous page leading up to the post I linked to are interesting also.
