Question: Is it possible that Ringo listens and likes trap/rap/hip-hop music???? I’m really curious about this now…..like does he listen to Drake? Post Malone? Logic? Travis Scott? Kendrick Lamar? Does Paul ever dabble in this genre? I need answers!
I absolutely believe that Paul keeps up to date on the latest sounds, as much as he can when he’s not creating his own or living life. Ringo I’m less sure…maybe his grandkids might hip him to stuff?

No. Did anything happen of note? Did Ringo breakdance?

Yeah, he and Jeremy did a routine and then the blue meanies played Beethoven’s 9th on kazoos whilst riding the back of a mongoose. I think…
Isn’t that animal cruelty having so many meanies on one mongoose?

I think to stop this thread derailing further into my created eccentricities, we’ll say the mongoose was ridiculously huge and an escaped product of the Sea Of Monsters . Don’t worry mmm, it was big and strong enough to carry the blue meanies around!

Uuuugh! I tried watching it again this weekend, and just couldn’t.
Only thing saving this, was Beatles songs sprinkled amongst the movie, and of course the ending with the Beatles singing All Together Now .
Sorry…….

Am I the only one that finds Jeremy is to Yellow Submarine what Ja Ja Binks is to whatever Star Wars movie* he appeared in?
* I’ve never seen any of them but have seen the odd clip and know this is a character overdue a good punch.

I liked Jar Jar Binks, thought he was the best thing in what was one hell of an awful boring film. I also liked the Ewoks (the cartoon broadcast in the UK by the BBC) and realise that due to these I would be killed by some of the more hardcore Star Wars fans.

Yeah, I find the Boob a very moving character – has to live in that vast wasteland of empty whiteness, with just his extraordinary mind for company. I feel so pissed off when JP&G want to abandon him, buncha jerks!
Plus he’s got many of the funniest lines, too! Jeremy Hilary Boob Ph.D. 4eva

I was working in the stacks yesterday and came across this book.
The cover art has a definite Yellow Submarine vibe. The books was published in January of 1965. I Googled the illustrator’s name (Baniprosonno) to see if I could find a Beatles connection, but nothing came up. I did find someone that agreed with my assessment though “With b&w illustrations and a front cover illustration that is curiously Yellow Submarine -like.”
If anyone finds some kind of link to YS, please let us know.

If you showed me that without telling me when it was first published and I would be convinced it came after ‘Yellow Submarine ‘.
