I voted for Help even though in the movie ranking thread I listed AHDN above it, because I can’t really choose between the two. They are too amazing. I love them both.
Alright, @silverhammerYT , I’m going to try to guess your favorite Beatles movie… hmmm… let’s think… it couldn’t be Yellow Submarine , could it?

while no means “The Best”… the ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand’ movie from the 70’s is not to be overlooked…:-)
Yes, that’s a really fun film, worth seeing especially for Wendie Jo Sperber as Rosie, the hysterical Paulette…but the single best sequence involves Pam’s ecstatic exploration of the Beatles’ hotel suite. Really solid debut from Zemeckis.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Ah, no, no Beatles film without the Beatles in it could beat a Beatles film with the Beatles. And yes, Yellow Submarine does qualify, but just barely.

I don’t know if this is worth mentioning, since the poll no longer exists, but this thread was created for the Beatles films (A Hard Day’s Night , Help !, Magical Mystery Tour , Yellow Submarine and Let It Be ) and not for films about the Beatles (Eight Days A Week , Birth of the Beatles, Backbeat, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Nowhere Boy, etc.).

True, true.
But “…Hand!” is a fine comedy regardless…and the Beatles do “appear” via a bit of film trickery (original Ed Sullivan performance footage appears on the fake Sullivan set’s monitors whilst stand-ins perform from a distance).
But as RN noted, this thread is for best *Beatles* film. (Which is absolutely AHDN , deal with it. )

His twin would, I hope, feel the same. This thread was never about films about the Beatles, but only became so on this bumping of it.

Yes, I agree with myself.
Help ! is a visual feast, with many laughs, good cast, and imaginative presentation of the song performances. And the recurring theme of East-West (and other) cultural misunderstandings is interesting (if intentional). But it’s terribly repetitive, just one attack on Ringo after another. As an original script that was adapted into a Beatles vehicle, it’s less “pure” a Fab Four film than their debut, and the boys indeed are often “extras in their own movie”.
