So I have these two DVD’s called ‘Fun With The Fab Four’ and ‘The Beatles Unauthorized’. My dad got them a long time ago as a gift, so I really don’t know where they came from. I don’t think these are official; they’re probably bootlegs or something. But despite the poor quality, they actually have some really neat stuff on them. Both DVD’s have various footage from live concerts and press conferences, but ‘Fab Four’ has the Pyramus and Thisbe skit, and ‘Unauthorized’ has the complete Feb. 11, 1964 Washington DC concert. I saw these on my shelf today and I wondered if anyone else on the forum has ever owned or heard of these. Cheers!

I have the top one, and another one called “From Liverpool to San Fransisco” that I purchased at a Doctor Who convention earlier this year. I’d like to collect a few more of these, and eventually get Anthology (which I never really saw…..shameful I know) Fun With the Fab Four was at MovieStop for like $1.68. So sad that MovieStop is now no longer.
“Fun With the Fab Four” was distributed by GoodTimes Entertainment, “From Liverpool to San Fransico” was distributed by Eagle Eye Media.
Never heard of either one….can’t be official, not by a long shot…

I’ve seen ‘From Liverpool to San Fransico’; its certainly not official, features Beatles cover music by a band with minimal talent (in my opinion) and the documentary was in the same vein as another 1,480 unofficial Beatles documentaries out there – you’ll learn and see nothing new.

I’d like to get the actual Anthology DVD set, which is still going for about 60 on Amazon (though a used copy might be a bit less if those are available). I’m skeptical about getting one of those Let it Be film DVDs, since they’re not official either, and it shows a less-than-glamourous side to the band members from what I’ve heard. That said, they were far from being perfect little angels and you sometimes have to take the bad with the good.

I have both of these. I watched both once and never bothered to watch them again. I honestly couldn’t tell you if either of them were any good, as this was over ten years ago.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

I have them both – I’m pretty sure they were a stocking stuffer one Christmas from the dog…seriously.
If I’m not mistaken, they came together as a set.
You are right in that they are not official and rather cheesily made, but they are fun to watch. Doesn’t one of them have an extra feature involving stories told by their former chauffeur Alf Bicknell? I know these were released about a year or so before he died. Anyway, if you look on Amazon, you can probably pick up used copies on the cheap.

Just a suggestion, as a 3rd DVD has already featured in this, might it not be an idea to make this a general about “grey-market” documentary and concert DVDs?
Whatever, as another of these type of DVDs has already been mentioned, I’d like to mention one of my favourites:
Great DVD when I found it in HMV around 10 years ago.
Opens with a print of the Washington Coliseum concert that was shown in cinemas a few days after it, along with one of the cinema ads for the special showing (which is just incredibly funny).
Next up is the complete version of Rediffusion’s Around The Beatles 1964 TV special.
And it is very nicely rounded off with one of the 1966 Budokan performances.
The visuals can be a bit fuzzy, but the audio is good.
A good DVD with three great glimpses at the Beatlemania years.

Dear Dog,
I’ve been a very good boy and have an item I’d like to see in my Christmas stocking this year…
