They’re showing it in Galway as well (yay)…..or at least they should be. It’s on the IMC Company’s website but Galway doesn’t have a screen or time mentioned yet.Hopefully I won’t be working when it’s on, especially if it’s a once-off thing.
I was thankfully given the day off on my monthly rota but there was no way I was going in. Ill, dead, missing in action, whatever, i’d have been in the cinema at 6pm and work would be coping.

To give credit this was posted on the Bootlegzone forum so there send it to.
The complete ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ is available to hear here (just scroll down and play the video); sounds better than I’ve heard before but there are some drop-outs in the sound – hopefully that’s the video and not the actual song.

LOL @meanmistermustard. I posted the same information (expect I got it direct from NPR) in the thread for the album within 15 seconds of your posting it here.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed.

Update on our situation. @Expert Textpert, Mrs. Textpert, and I have our tickets for the show on the 16th. I will take off half a day from work to drive to meet them. They have a nice futon for me to crash on after the movie. Maybe the Textpert’s cats will let me pet them. A fun time will be had by all.
Cooper (the fluffy one) will let you pet him if he doesn’t run away. Chan it’s best not to pet. Let her make the rules or she will bite you.

Interview with Paul, Ringo, Ron Howard and others about the film.
Most interesting revelation to me comes from one of the producers, Nigel Sinclair, about the success of their request for fans footage:
A proverbial little old lady called in. She said “I went to Candlestick show and I sat in Row 8 and I took my camera”. She said, “Naturally I filmed all of the last song and all of the end of the show. I’ve got it in a can. It’s under my bed, I’m not sure if it still works. Would you like me to send it to you?”
We realized that she didn’t realize she had something she could probably sell, so we actually explained to her that we would pay her for it. We sent somebody up to San Francisco to pick it up, because we didn’t want to lose it, and it was the Holy Grail. For our story, we wanted to capture the boys running off the stage for the very last time in history. So we have a lot of things like that.
Holy fecking hell! They have footage of the end of the last concert!
Another thing that surprised, timeline-wise in the making of the film, was I don’t think I’ve read before that Ron Howard was signed up as early as 2012.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr Say New Documentary Jogged Their Memories About Beatlemania Era
Former Beatles band mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr recently came together in Las Vegas to give a rare joint interview with the Los Angeles Times to chat about the upcoming documentary Eight Days A Week — The Touring Years. The Ron Howard-directed film, which gets its theatrical premiere on September 15, focuses on the Fab Four’s career through the band’s final official concert in August 1966.
McCartney and Starr both noted that watching the movie helped jar their recollections of that time period, during which the band was subjected to unprecedented fan hysteria while touring the world.
“The stuff you remember when you see the footage, and the old photographs, it helps,” explained Starr.
Added McCartney, “It jogs all the memories. That’s one of the joys about seeing the film.”
McCartney also told the L.A. Times that the movie reminded him about his band’s strong anti-discrimination stance in the U.S., as the film showed an archival rider revealing that The Beatles refused to play concerts at segregated venues.
“We’d always naturally had an empathy with [civil-rights issues], just because we had loads of black friends and [many of] our [musical] heroes…were black,” Sir Paul noted. “To see in the film that we actually put it in our contracts…we didn’t remember that. I was very impressed with that.”
Howard, who also took part in the interview, told the newspaper that he had two main goals in making the documentary. The first was to honor the group’s dedicated fans, and the second was “to tell a story that would convey to people who really have no idea — I’m thinking of the millennials, I suppose…the intensity of the journey and the impact [The Beatles] had.”
I hope lots of millennials see the movie.
I am growing more and more excited to see the movie. I’m not watching or listening to any of the parts that have been posted. I want to be wowed during the movie.

Before I wet myself and start praising Apple for being awesome i’m going to wait to see if we get to see this incredible discovery or if they’re going to give us a 13 second excerpt cut up into 17 parts and the rest is rammed into the vaults with everything else Apple wont let anyone savour.
At the very least they should include all of the footage as a bonus when the DVD comes out (surely Apple will have the common sense to release a DVD of this).
I’ve as much hope as getting a call from my Bank saying they are feeling extremely generous and have decided to gift me £1m a year until i’m dead just because they can.
And before anyone things i’m being a buzzkill Apple planned a 4 cd box set of ‘White Album ‘ of outtakes in 1998, scrapped it, and gave us a limited edition pen and repacked mini CD instead.

Apple just likes to spend their unreleased Beatles content very wisely in order to make the most money possible off of it.

Yeah but don’t say that because mmm is very passionate about the pen; you might upset him by bagging it like that.

Yeah, a 4 CD version of the best album ever would be amazing, but heaven forbid Apple release the things we want.
