Shouldn’t we start to consider if we add “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week ” to the title of this thread (maybe putting “The Beatles Live Project” in parenthesis), as it does seem the “Eight Days A Week ” suggestion of the title is starting to get used in nearly every source?

Very good, yes, but no. The pimped title is “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week ” though. Obviously, we’ll shorten it to something like 7 = 8. But until then… Am having to concentrate quite a lot of the keyboard right now. It’s not the same as what I woke with.

I get why ‘Eight Days A Week ‘ fits the film but, as has been pointed out elsewhere (maybe here too and I missed it), the Beatles only ever mimed to it on one or two tv shows and no footage has surfaced yet of a performance (maybe Apple has it). They never played the song live even tho it went to number 1 in the US.

Interesting trailer. It looks great but it was always going to.
Since this is the ‘The Tour Years’ will there be a follow up covering ‘Pepper’ onwards or is that more desperate misplaced thinking? There is very little known footage of the Beatles in the studio excluding the January ’69 film so probably the latter.
The triler in case folk dont want to navigate to YouTube.

Is this documentary intended at least partly as a vehicle for the Beatles to release or rerelease some of the concert audio they’ve been holding back for quality reasons? (Hollywood Bowl for instance.) Maybe they feel happier publishing it as part of a video documentary or as DVD extras rather than as audio CD tracks.

I don’t doubt there will be some sort of audio accompaniment released alongside, whether it be a strict soundtrack of the film, or a set of complimentary recordings.

i’d be happier if they release more video stuff than only audio
You have to remember that much of the live Beatles only exists in audio, which is why I suggested that whatever audio is released alongside the movie might not be a straight soundtrack, in the same way that the Anthology CDs cannot really be said to the the soundtrack to the Anthology documentary.
I’m expecting a live set to be announced closer to the time of the film première, and I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Theatrical release on September 16, streaming on Hulu on September 17 here in the U.S.
Again with Hulu. I have Netflix and Amazon Prime and not necessarily willing to pay for yet another streaming service. I might just have to do the free trial to watch this then cancel.

I would guess yes.

Has it been confirmed yet that this’ll be only in the paid version of Hulu? I doubt that it’ll be in the free area of Hulu, but one can hope.

No just that it’ll be “on Hulu” . But I was just preparing myself for that eventuality. Haha!

Apple will surely release some form of an audio companion to the film and it will most likely differ in some way to the film due to the material available; an example would be the Hollywood Bowl as whilst there is some footage circulating (synced to the audio) it is not complete. How that will be compiled is another matter and we will only know when Apple announce the release details.

Looks like my streak of not going to a movie theatre will be coming to an end. This must be seen on a large screen along with a quality surround sound system.

Sigh… less than a minute of Beatles live footage and I’m ready to give Apple, and my overpriced, local theater, my wallet.
Looks like it’s gonna be worth it, though!
