McCartney: Once, we were going from London to Liverpool in a terrible snowstorm — you couldn’t see the road. The van skidded down the embankment, and there was no way to back up. We’re standing around, the four of us. Somebody said, “Something will happen.” That is now my mantra. Sure enough, we got a lift.

Bits from a Billboard InterviewMcCartney: One of the things was seeing yourself as The Beatles. In the end you kind of become a fan — “Bloody hell, they’re great!” Then you sit back and realize that’s you. It’s hard to take in.
Can please Paul quit it with this fake modesty. He did it in the Anthology series and he’s back on it now. We all know he thinks the Beatles were f*****g amazing and its just a right pain in the backside him pretending they weren’t anything else.
And whilst he’s at it can he please remember something he hasn’t told us 56 gazillion times so reading his interviews are not entirely pointless.

Offline Aussie TV news just did an interview today with Larry Kane who hung out with them over the tour that Howard’s film covers, so obviously doing some PR for it. Fairly standard stuff, except an interesting bit where the Beatles refused to play at a segregated venue until it was integrated again. Also a good George joke:
“If anything happens with the plane Larry, remember its Beatles and children first” 
Cue male and female news hosts declaring their favourite songs, the guy with Strawberry Fields Forever , the girl interestingly, Helter Skelter .

On the other hand, he really doesn’t have anything else to offer, he doesn’t remember half of it, so he pulls out something for the interview as a distraction. It’s just the way he’s made. Ringo is “no idea, next question”, Paul cannot leave that empty. It’s handy for Ringo though, he knows Paul will jump in with some bollocks.

Offline The premiere is streaming live on Facebook atm.
Galway is screening it tonight at 9pm but unfortunately I have tickets for a play at 8pm that I don’t think I could sell on and it’s a company that I adore so I’m afraid I’ll be missing it.
I just checked the website, they’re showing it tomorrow- woohoo, looks like I’ll be seeing it a day later but I’ll still see it (yay)!
