The Beatles Anthology is a documentary television series on the career of the Beatles. It was broadcast on UK television in six parts on ITV between 26 November and 31 December 1995, while in the United States it was seen as three feature-length episodes on ABC between 19 and 23 November 1995. It was released in greatly expanded form as an eight-volume VHS set and an eight-disc Laserdisc set on 5 September 1996. The series was re-released on DVD in 2003 with an 81-minute special-features disc, contents of which are provided here for your viewing and listening pleasure.

Thanks for this.
Watching the extras again it’s difficult to work out whats going on with George. At times he seems downright hostile, at other points very funny, then at others remarkably offhand. He can be the most interesting and revealing interviewee but at other points he had this ‘I’m too good for this’ attitude that made me want to strangle him.
Overall “anthology’ is a rather safe digest of the bands story. But I’m glad its there, even if it was no coincidence it happened just when George really needed an injection of funds. The only alternative for him was to tour but chances of that happening were zero.

My son in law has shown some interest, so we may spend a weekend watching it together (when all our vaccines are squared away). @Von Bontee, I’m not sure why the Internet Archive site is not being served cease and desist orders. They have an interesting mission statement (link below) and function as a huge digital repository. They specialize in scanned books but also have a lot of audio files. Interesting that files of official releases are 30 second previews only, but the boots are complete.

There are very strong rules and regulations stipulating when, where, how etc you can utilise excerpts of music, video etc. Fall outside of those and you can expect very strong responses from the parties concerned with little room for discussion.

It’s still there, vb, you just need to google “internet archive beatles anthology” and, for me at least, top of the list. Just dangerous for Joe and the site and forum to start having direct links to download sites, especially when it comes to commercially available and official products.
