We will be watching. Hopefully it happens.
I’m really hoping we get Dig It in extended form all cleaned up, so I can place it before my favourite song which is Dig A Pony .

They would be smart to do some Youtube promo clips. We are all waiting
No doubt they’ve got two or three trailers ready to go that’ll appear ahead of its release but, given they are holding out for a cinema release, I can’t see any full songs appearing on their YT before its release.
Of course, were a vaccine to be found, and things around the world started normalising faster than thought, there has to be a slim chance its release date may be brought forward. The worrying thing is if we’re still in the same situation next August…

Next year so little until Apple and co are settled on a date and they are ready to promote the hell out of it.

There is now an official ‘Get Back’ website, currently focusing on the confirmation of the book.
(also posted in the book’s thread)
It’s likely to expand to cover all aspects of the project.

I hope I’m wrong but It looks like we’re going to get a nicer version of the film where the narrative is best mates having a hard few days but really they love each other and it was great fun. It’s Apple’s biggest marketing point. Its all well and good saying the row was overblown but it doesn’t address all four Beatles saying it was an utterly miserable time for all of them (even in 1995) and George quitting (absent from the film and not down to a row between Paul and himself).
There were great moments during January 1969, fun times left on the cutting room floor, but there was almost a lot of misery. Let’s not get sidetracked by the folk involved now coming out with the party line after saying different for 49 years.
Spot on. But this is Pauls objective I feel and has been since John and George passed away, rewriting of the groups history to suit his own preferred narrative. In his own mind the Beatles mostly had a great time with ‘get back’ but the facts (and the nagra tapes of the sessions) don’t back that up. Paul is undeniably a genius but he is definitely difficult to work with hence the resentment of the others, and the constantly changing lineups of Wings. Thats what really happened at twickenham – among a lot of other things.
He just cant ‘let it be’ if you will excuse the pun.

Paul McCartney says new Beatles documentary is ‘proof’ he is not responsible for band’s split

Of course, his suing the rest of the band well over a year later to dissolve The Beatles business partnerships had nothing to do with their break-up.
They all played their part, with the exception of maybe Ringo, and Paul was as guilty as anyone else.

Well, one thing’s for sure, the footage looks fecking fantastic. Best I’ve ever seen it. While there are those who question the motives behind the movie, it’s gonna look damn good.

Oh wow it looks gorgeous, I’m afraid it’ll be a complete FriendsFest edit as that is what it’s looking like (Paul finishing his rose-tinted edit of The Fabs’ history) but it looks great.
Edit: Just looking at my other subs on YouTube, it’s also on the French and German Disney channels. Might be an influential factor in the FunOnlyHere edit.
Also, if we don’t see George getting electric shocked multiple times in this version, I riot.

The sneak peek made me so happy, as everyone has said the footage looks superb!!
Maybe it will be a rose tinted view of that period, but I think I’ll kind of love that. The energy that that clip alone has compared to the whole of Let It Be !

Great montage, love the chaotic energy of it all. Definitely seems like it’s being aimed more family/PG with the Disney connection and all (I notice they’ve edited out Paul’s jokey “hey, f*ckface!” from the clip where the guy in the control room interrupts him and John goofing around) but small things like that shouldn’t take away from the excitement. Will be great to see both this new footage and the original film in such beautiful quality. Extremely looking forward to it!

Thanks! I hadn’t changed it in ages, and I thought it was brilliant irony using that line on a forum that is still active 50 years after the band broke up!
