Yup, no bonus. Only the 3 episodes as shown in Disney+.
It’s lame imo but i guess we should be thankful if they finally release it in any way/format after all those delays and corrections they had to do…

That’s what I think. We’re lucky this is even happening at this point.

Look around the net and you will easily find unofficial but highly professional versions which contain numerous bonus features from multi-angle cameras to outtake footage and official music videos from thru the years. The upcoming official release is a waste of money.

One reason for no extras, @MattWatchingWheels, as was discussed earlier in this thread before we had all the delays to the release date, is the possibility that it may be followed at a later date by an expanded “Director’s Cut” which they’re saving all the extras for. Obviously the delays on the normal release would have pushed back the release date of any expanded version, but if they had planned one, I doubt the delays to the basic one would have seen those plans cancelled.
Let’s hope the rumours of an expanded version prove true, and that we maybe get it in a few months; possibly in time for Christmas.

Iam hoping out for this. In the end there is so much material of them which hasnt been released officialy. YT has so many live stuff of them and I’d wish they’d make a true bluray set with loads of those concerts remastered.

What’s left to cover? The Beatles films are all out (if you ignore the ‘LIB ‘ film being buried) and the live stuff has been covered (even if it was a major let down). The ‘Anthology’ series could well do with a revamp using improved sources and other never seen before footage, but would that get anyone excited? Jackson has spoken of wanting to work on the Hamburg material using new and improved technology but I’m not sure Apple will ever want to go near that. Maybe using never before existing footage there will be a live Beatles at the Star Club set including a DVD of them on stage.
Thoughts go to some horrendous reformation recreation reunion concert based on Paul’s recent duet with John where images of John and George are woven with footage of Paul and Ringo to give us all a new full length concert: watch as thru the wonders of technology George Harrison and John Lennon join Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney live on stage to perform their solo hits for the first time ever as well as the finally completed long lost Beatles track ‘Now And Then ‘. Taking the ABBA avatars shows to another level.
I’m convinced at some point the piles of money waved will ensure a new Beatles reunion where they scrape together bits and pieces from wherever for a new experience that no one actually wants.
Being more positive. An official extended documentary examining the Beatles in the 60’s in correlation to what was happening at the same time throughout the world would be pretty cool. A lengthy series that went deep into the influences and impact of The Beatles on world events and vice versa thru the decade and beyond, could start with WWII and run right thru. Must be tons of archive footage that could be utilised and it wouldn’t be yet another look at the story of the Beatles career. Could even do it thru specific topics like music, wars, politics, religion, drugs, society etc and whatever.

God I hope not. I’m hoping they’re going to do a remake of Give My Regards To Broad Street
My hot take is that after the Beatles split they went down the paths of spiritualism, solipsism, alcoholism, and Paul McCartney

He’s gonna do a completely CGI remake of Lord of the Rings, with Andy Serkis playing all the roles, and once put through all the computery stuff, all roles will appear to be being played by The Beatles and their inner circle.
