I would think UK cinemas will follow in time, there is certainly a demand so venues will be keen to get the money in. Would be insanity if the screening never came to the UK.
I thought it was IMAX for one day only; the below suggests it’s not.
Following the Jan. 30 event, a global theatrical engagement of the 60-minute concert film – formally titled The Beatles: Get Back –The Rooftop Concert – will run from Feb. 11-13.
Oh.
It’s at the end of the Daily Beatle article. Well. As long as it comes to the UK, and global suggests it is, I’ll be going to the cinema at least once to watch this. Has a willing payee ever been thrown out of the cinema for refusing to leave over a three day period? I have to run out of a store if the Beatles are playing, how can I go home knowing they are on the big screen!?

I read the 11-13 February showings as being non-IMAX, @meanmistermustard, a one-off IMAX showing followed by a short general release so those who can’t access IMAX cinemas still have a chance to see it in the cinema.

Yeah. I got that and is what I meant.
I don’t care if it’s IMAX or not. Seeing the Beatles on the big screen in 2D is enough for me.
I have an unlimited Cineworld pass. If this was shown and was included in that (some special screenings are not) I will be sleeping in the cinema between screenings. I’ll then head home and return the next day. Free Beatles on the big screen would make my year.

The next IMAX Cinema is like 200 km away from my and my gf though she enjoys The Beatles surely isnt into driving that long for a one hour stay at the cinema.
Hopefully a theater near me will show the none IMAX version. All theraters here are closed due to covid but there is one more month till the release so fingers crossed.
I do hope for a nice BD release soon. February sounds about right 🙂

UK Amazon* now have a Blu-ray listing for the series…
…giving a release date of 28 February (which, if correct, would indicate a delayed European release by 20 days as the US release date of 8 February came from Apple’s press release about the IMAX showing).
Only lists a Blu-ray release at the moment (though the Apple press release did mention the 8 February US would be on DVD and Blu-ray, so hopefully just a delay), gives a cost of £30.00, and confirms a lack of extras, which supports the idea that a 6-8 disc expanded edition will follow around April/May.
They could put out the standalone Let It Be and an expanded Get Back around 13 May (a Friday) to coincide with 52nd anniversary of the original film’s release.
* Mine is a straight link, please use @Joe’s Amazon link to purchase should you be planning to do so, it puts a few pennies in the coffers that help keep the Beatles Bible going.
[Feel free to change mine to a BB link, Joe.]

That is the choice of the individual, @Expert Textpert, as some people like to have things in multiple versions/formats. If you’re someone who’d be annoyed by buying the straight series only to find an expanded version released a few months later, and you’re not desperate to get a hard copy, probably worth holding off a bit (though May is only a suggestion for the expanded, it may be later); if you’re someone who’d be buying the straight release and the expanded when it arrives and not be bothered, no reason to wait.
I just think the complete absence of any extras, including things like the sneak peek and the trailers, means there’s a second version coming with extras, among which I should think we can now expect the cinema version of the rooftop concert, and with the suggestion it will run 6-8 discs, that leaves a reasonable amount of space for the series to be in an expanded form.
For those worried about whether it will also be released on DVD because all the headlines have been about the Blu-ray, the official US Beatles Store has a DVD listing, priced at $34.99 (currently £25.79), with a shipping date of 5 February:
So, for those of us still content with the ancient and outdated DVD format (including me), we can all breathe out and stop worrying about if now is when we have to go out and buy a Blu-ray player.

So we should hold off buying until May?
Wouldn’t hurt, I think. If another release isn’t forthcoming we can always get what’s available.

It’ll also be cheaper in May, Paul’s The Lyrics was originally about £60 to buy, now it’s £37.50 – it pays to wait.

I wrote a time-coded annotation breakdown of “Get Back ” — figured some here might find it helpful or enjoyable.
It also includes background on some of the lesser-known songs and people and places mentioned. 😉

@KyleKartan, the Amazon link for Germany is I bookmarked the link because my husband has family in Germany. We have found it much easier to send them gifts using amazon.de than buying and shipping presents to them from the US.
Joe set up the link in my signature to go to the Amazon of the country where the person is clicking in from. I guess that still works.

Streaming statistics for the first week of the release https://www.nme.com/news/tv/th…..-3129566
54 per cent of people who watched the series in its first week were over the age of 55. According to Nielsen, 503 million minutes were streamed across the three episodes over the first four days, including Sunday November 28.
As reported by TheWrap, The Beatles: Get Back placed seventh on the most viewed original streaming programmes that week. It failed to make the top 10 when counting other acquired shows, which was topped by Netflix film Red Notice at 954 million minutes streamed.

My heart raced and sank. My stomach had butterflies. My mind raced around and almost exploded inside my skull. My eyes froze open and welled up. When the Beatles went off to have a conversation…just the 4 of them…before they went on the rooftop…OMG! All at once I wanted to be a fly on the wall in that room…but at the same time I didn’t want to be because that moment was sacred…something for just the 4 of them share.
Mal’s face when it bangs that hammer on that anvil! Priceless!
Paul finding that song his Uncle Ron liked in that catalog of song and then he started singing it like his Uncle would – loved that!
I have ticket to the January 30th IMAX showing.

Great post AG.
Gonna be gleefully watching the middle installment for my fourth time tonight, accompanied by mombontee (viewing the trilogy for a second time); and joined once again by Von Auntee, for whom we debuted Part I a few nights ago. They’re five years apart in age (same birthday, in fact) and are a notable illustration of two mini-generations of 1st-gen Beatle fans: mum owned “she loves you” 45; younger sister bought “Pepper” and the white LP.

Another unusual fact about the family is that each of mum/aunts’ parents – my maternal grandparents – also had a younger sibling who likewise married one other! So that’s two marriages within two families, resulting in “double cousins”…
(…earning my derail award here )
It was a bit startling seeing mum’s reaction to George’s interaction with Paul – both times, she laughed out loud at the audacity and impertinence of “Whatever it is that’ll please you…” soliloquy – since she didn’t really know how heavily that moment weighs in Beatle-lore.
