The clip of Get Back on the rooftop @Richard posted in post 292 that had appeared on Movie Roar on 20 November has now been released officially by both The Beatles and Walt Disney (just over five hours ago):
Wondering if we get the Don’t Let Me Down basement footage that appeared at the same time as a final trailer/peek tomorrow?

This might sound silly bt for the first time I see Yoko standing in the right corner. I just never look at anything but the 4 lads so that might be why I never noticed her before…

Have no idea on the source for this as it doesn’t appear on the Beatles Vevo, but stumbled across this footage of them working on Don’t Let Me Down in the basement at Savile Row, described as a publicity clip, and posted on Movie Roar on 20 November.
I will never get sick of that song or John’s voice.

The Collider interview with Peter Jackson that @meanmistermustard referenced on the previous page has been uploaded:
Again, he’s very interesting on how they’ve used machine learning to demix the mono Nagra tapes into multitracks. Game-changing technology.
Also interesting to hear that Jackson’s first edit was 18 hours! If the 7 hour 48 minute version turns out to be as good as it’s looking, and doesn’t have fans screaming that it’s a whitewash (which I have less and less worries about), you can bet the original 18 hour edit will become the new Beatles Holy Grail.
60 Minutes Australia interviewed one of the January 1969 cameraman, Australian Les Parrott…

There are going to be other ways to watch this outside of Disney+. Obviously everyone should go down the legal proper route but there is no doubt that within 5 minutes of being released it will be on available on illegal streams and being sold for $25 plus shipping in very minimal packaging.
I could watch Peter Jackson for hours talking about this.
What I do find interesting is that originally they were working towards a 2.5 hour cut, all agreed with Apple, then covid hit and Jackson went off with his team and ended up with 6 hours which they showed to Apple who thought it was great and now we have just under 8 hours. That’s in stark contrast to Giles Martin who was given a certain number of discs by Apple to fill for the deluxe ‘LIB ‘ set and had to decide what to throw out so to fill the quota. And that set is a mess in my opinion. I don’t have it, I haven’t heard the remix and have zero desire to spend £83.01 on it at the moment. Possibly after Christmas I might but certainly not before. If anyone sees it on Amazon for £1.27 (new and proper, not a dodgy knockoff), buy me it and I’ll send you a £10 for your troubles.

I say that and then find there is an almost four hour(!!!!) conversation with Peter Jackson on episode 355 of ‘Things We Said Today ‘, a podcast with Ken Michaels, Allan Kozinn and Darren DeVivo.
In Episode 355 of Things We Said Today , Ken Michaels, Allan Kozinn and Darren DeVivo interview Peter Jackson, the director of “The Beatles: Get Back ” – the most anticipated Beatles project since “The Beatles Anthology,” in 1995. Mr. Jackson is also, of course, the director of the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” trilogies, and the extraordinary World War I documentary, “They Shall Not Grow Old.” And true to form, the master of film epics spent no less than four hours with us. Included is lots of new information about the film and the techniques Mr. Jackson used to make it – including demonstrations of his new AI-based audio system (MAL), which goes far beyond spectral technology in separating layers of sound within a mono recording. Lots of talk as well about the Nagra tapes, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the power dynamic within the Beatles during the making of “Let It Be ,” and other topics – and a number of mysteries Mr. Jackson still wants to get to the bottom of.
If you wish to not watch it on youtube but alternatively have it on whilst doing stuff it’s available to download as a podcast.

And I was right! Officially uploaded by Apple and Walt Disney around an hour ago, with the Disney+ logo added, the Don’t Let Me Down basement footage that first appeared on Movie Roar on 20 February:
Looks like Movie Roar jumped the gun.
And if you were that way inclined, you could take the last two glimpses as a message – Get Back : Don’t Let Me Down !
Some of us will soon find out, while others of us will have to wait (including me). Looking forward to the reactions here though. Salivate me more!

I figure it’s 8 hours away (8am in the UK) and I have it all planned out, I’m even going to set an alarm. If it’s not I’m going to be continually refreshing Disney+ until it appears before passing out and needing a few hours to regain myself.
New titles tend to drop on Disney+ at 3 a.m. Eastern Times, or 12 a.m Pacific Time, on the morning of the release date. Therefore, you can expect to see Part 1 of The Beatles: Get Back on Disney+ on Thursday, November 25 at 3 a.m. Eastern Time, or 12 a.m. Pacific Time. A Disney representative confirmed to Decider that each part of the docuseries will premiere at midnight Pacific Time on the morning of the release date.

Hello! In preparation for tomorrow/tonight (so unbelievably excited for this!) I watched an old VHS tape of Let It Be outtakes. Would someone happen to know who this guy is whose lap Paul is practically sitting on? Thanks in advanced if anyone knows the answer!

Not sure but could it be Dennis O’Dell?

It’s f*****g sensational. I am not one who can sit around and watch TV for hours, I get bored after a couple of episodes but bloody hell. Best thing I’ve seen in decades and honestly felt like Christmas Day as a kid getting up this morning.
Not going into details as folk need to watch it for themselves without deep opinions being put upon them. Will watch parts two and three when up and possible and then will sit and watch the whole damn thing.
