Oh come on!!!!
It should not be allowed to have articles like the above posted online and then made to wait six months to watch the footage ourselves. There are some things in life that just should not be done and that is one. How do I go about lobbying the internet to ensure no reviews or revealing information is posted online until I’ve watched this?

I take it the split will be part one at Twickenham and parts two and three Apple studios with a large part of three including the complete rooftop concert. I do hope it’s chronological throughout.
And since the documentary is about 6 hours, I want at least 4 hours of bonus footage on the Uber deluxe blu-ray.

This isn’t what John had in mind when he sang “Yeah, let’s fight for Mickey Mouse/Let us fight for freedom” in “God Save Oz” Feck that company, I’ll let my tech-savvy beatlebuddy @montyclift find me a stream, or splurge for a blu-ray player (finally)

I don’t know if the film will still be shown in cinemas, but I am happy there is more footage in the three-part series. My family has got Disney+ and we will look forward to watching it when it comes out. Hopefully, it will get released on DVD and Blu-ray next year.

Doesn’t look like the cinema release is happening, which is really disappointing. My cinema website removed the movie from its upcoming titles weeks back, so I’m actually not surprised. The trade off is that the content has probably been extended, which is a very good thing. But I really wanted to see this on a big screen. Alas.

Disappointing, but not surprising for a six hour movie. I can use my friend’s Disney +.

They could still play it in theatres if they wanted to. Just have breaks every couple hours like they do at the drive in.

I just hope , and pray for, we don’t get six hours of The Beatles like this
i mean, yeah, they probably had fun recording and probably got pissed as well… i just had enough of those images of them having a blast, all luaghs and happiness around… i wanna see them working on their music.
And of course i hope there will be a blu-ray/DVD/wahetever format release.

Those are very exciting News indeed.
I must say though: Iam a Little worried about the home Cinema release. Exclusive D+ Shows like Mandalorian, WandaVision or Falcon & Winter Soldier didnt appear on any physcial medium yet. The only way to watch them is D+.
I hope they’ll go the way of Mulan and other movies which were NOT released in Cinema because of Covid: release it on D+ and sell it on BD and DVD months later.
I really really really hope they’ll go for that and add the original Let it Be movie to the release of the PJ movie. Alongside an uber deluxe Edition of the Album itself. Come on Apple and Disney, there is Money there!

There will be a home release. Apple will want the revenue and a lot of fans won’t want to only be able to access the film on an on-demand service they have to pay monthly for.

I was looking at general Disney+ forums and the reaction from them is largely indifference, which is why it still wouldn’t surprise me if we get a cinematic release in some form (whether it’s a theatrical cut to 2 hours or so, or the three parts broadcasted on the evening of release like I said before).
Eight Days A Week made $12.3m in the box office on a budget of $5m, and Peter Jackson’s name being behind it will only put more bums in seats. There is clearly still a demand for Beatles content on the big screen and Beatles fans are very loyal to the brand. BTS who has a rabid mostly teenage girl fanbase pulled in $14m from their concert film which was originally one-night only, and then got another 2 nights run because of demand.
Disney+’s argument though is that broadcasting it the day of would cannabilise any potential Disney+ subscription money they’ll get out of this, but I imagine the likelihood of people just signing up for Get Back and then actually continuing to subscribe to Disney+ will be low.
What is making me mildly worried is we’ve had no update on Let It Be the film, is it still going to be rereleased?

A lot of people will also use the free trial period of seven days and not bother paying anything, that’s certainly my intention.
Apple have said we are getting the original ‘LIB ‘ film and there is no reason for them to come out and reiterate that, we haven’t also heard much at all about the audio side of it all except it’s being remixed and one of the Johns line-ups will also be included. With the Disney release being late November I think everything will be tied into that so we probably won’t hear much until September/October time.
The big positive is that Apple have a long history of wanting as much money from us as possible so that alone is good reason to be hopeful. Of course they could just give us limited edition Donald Duck’s ‘Get Back ‘ door stops and Goofy ‘I’ve Got A Feeling ‘ medication dispenser boxes and fleece us.

I like what Disney’s doing here. If they were to just release it in theaters, it’d be one 2 hour movie. But since they’re turning it into a 3 episode documentary on Disney+ with each episode being 2 hours long, it’s like having 3 full length Beatles movies. However, i hope they release the cut we would’ve seen in theaters if it weren’t for COVID as a DVD bonus feature, as well as a restored version of Let It Be and a new remix of the album.

I hope we can watch them all.
‘I mean, it’s on film, it’s on camera […]’

Nooooo…. please don’t make a 5:30 h. long thingie about the beatles doing things like this
