Saw The Magic Christian last night. I had no idea Roman Polanski had a cameo in it.
It was really funny. I think Ringo had the funniest part, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
I don’t know how to do that spoiler thing where you hide the spoiler.
Okay, I’m doing a test–I think I’m going to have to type out the brackets.
Okay, now here is the real spoiler:
I thought the funniest part was when Spike Milligan is trying to give them a parking ticket and he’s talking to Peter Sellers while Ringo is sitting at the wheel of the car reading the book about making faces, and he makes the “silently screaming face” and the “tiny face.”

Select the text you want to spoiler and click the spoiler button, which looks like an eye. It’s on the top bar with all the formatting stuff.
You’re welcome.
It seems like I’ve asked this before. I don’t see the eye, or anything else for that matter. Could it be I have to select a certain forum view?

I think Ex Tex may be using the HTML editor.
Highlight the text you want to hide and click on the word spoiler in the line of options.

The Magic Christian shows up quite often on late night TV here in the states. However the climatic scene is edited out. The film cuts from Ringo and Sellers shouting “Free money” at the business men, to the final scene in the sleeping bags. I always wondered what folks who haven’t seen the movie before think has happened?
The only Ringo appearance that I didn’t see mentioned here is the 1968 movie Candy. He plays a deranged Mexican gardener. His part is on youtube under “Ringo plays a horny Mexican in Candy”. (Warning – contains bizarre accents and what may be sexual content 😉 )

That sounds like an awful edit. I’ve seen (most of) that Candy scene on youtube. From that scene, it doesn’t look like a cinematic masterpiece. Is Ringo only in it for a few minutes? I’ve looked at copies on eBay and amazon and they are pretty expensive.

@Expert Textpert I think the Candy clip represents his entire performance. I vaguely remember all of the male characters having cameos at the end, but I can’t locate any video.
While searching around I did run into this clip of Ringo playing the Mock Turtle from a televised musical version of Alice In Wonderland. It’s as strange as it sounds (what’s up with the blue smoke?)

That was an awesome video. I wish I had an MP3 of that song.
There are some nice converters out on the web that can save YouTube and other video clips as MP3s.

From http://www.wjbdradio.com/music…..n-november
In 1971, Ringo Starr had a starring role in a cult Spaghetti Western movie called Blindman, which was directed by veteran Italian filmmaker Ferdinando Baldi. Now, a restored, high-def version of the flick will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally on November 4.
The former Beatles drummer portrayed a lovesick Mexican bandit named Candy in the film, which was inspired by the popular Zatoichi series of Japanese flicks. Blindman tells the story of a blind gunman — played by Tony Anthony — who is tasked to escort 50 mail-order brides to their prospective husbands, a group of Texas miners. The film was co-produced by former Beatles and Rolling Stones manager Allen Klein.
