Do you have any thoughts on this movie. I personally love it. My mom’s buddy who also loves the Beatles, gave me it and I’m watching it right now!
This is my favorite part is:
Repoter: Is that hair real or is it a wig?
George: No, it’s a real wig.
I find these interveiws hillarious

Ive never heard of it either but im guessing its a compilation of the Beatles appearances on Ready, Steady, Go. Not sure if whoever issued it would get the rights to the music as the Beatles mimed on the show (as did every other act).
Many years ago there was a video called ‘The Beatles Live’ that had the music only from the tv special Around The Beatles, for some reason omitting the Shakespeare sketch despite running for a total of 18 minutes. And the Ready, Steady, Go appearances have been issued before, most complete in Japan i think.
Actually there a few unofficial videos and dvds that have actual Beatles music in them, normally performed live (Washington) or taken from the Ed Sullivan shows – no idea how that works with Apple and EMI ready to issue a ‘cease or pay us lots of money when we sue your ass off’ lawsuit at a moments notice for the most mundane of offences.

The best of those semi-legal releases I’ve seen is All Around the World. Includes the complete All Around The Beatles + Washington Coliseum 1964 (with cinema ad for its limited cinema showing) and one of the ’66 Budokan concerts! It was a great buy.

Ive seen them but dont buy them. If i want to see a Beatle concert or show i have Youtube, saves having to get the dvd, find the remote control which always seems to be under a cushion you swear youve looked under 3 times before searching the entire room or in the room next dooor beneath the book of 18th Century Pot Making you never knew you had, turn on the player, wait for it to load up, wait to be told how making and buying illegal copies is causing the poor to turn to eating their own hands off so they have somewhere warm to stay, take 30 seconds to remember how to skip the damn trailer for some piece of crap you will never want to see only to find the batteries arent working so you have to wack the control against the table so they kick into action (its never they are flat), find you’ve lost the other control to turn the volume up, discover it at the back of the dvd player after a 5 minute search. and then just as your programme comes on you have to go to the bathroom. So you press pause, put the controls down on the table, go do youre business, decide to make a cup of tea since youre up, get back, sit down and try and get comfy, reach out for the controls – and find theyve moved. So you move to have a look for them and discover they are on the floor just out of reach, so you have to get up and get them, get comfy again and finally 25 minutes are you wanted to watch the damn show youre finally ready.

It was bought years ago, before I had internet, or any interest in having interest (bit of an old Luddite really, and still stumbling through this computer still – don’t have an avatar because no idea how to create one). Plus point, no copy protection on the disc so now safely stored on computer. No long hard look among the thousands of DVDs and CDs littering the place to find.

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"
