Apparently Paul McCartney was on SNL last night. I searched it on YouTube and basically he’s like Ringo in “Love Me Do ” with that tambourine while Bruce Springsteen sings his classic “Santa Clause is Coming to Town.” I wonder why he couldn’t be in NYC for John’s concert. {He said that he was with family, which is perfectly fine, but he came across as defensive.} I wonder why this is?

Perhaps he didn’t want his massive ego to crowd the other performers out.

Got to watch! John Lennon ‘s 75th birthday concert is on tonight on AMC at 9/8c. It’s featuring Paul and Ringo of course, as well as all the other good oldies. You can check out some of the videos on YouTube. I wish it was live.
We recorded it. I watched the first 5 minutes or so last night to make sure the recording was OK.
So, when exactly did Steven Tyler die? His corpse was the first performer. Yikes.
I’ll check out the whole thing sometime over the holidays.

Thanks for pointing this out KM. I thought I had watched the whole show, but I must of fallen asleep during the commercial right before Paul came on

Good news young forumpudlians, RTÉ1 (an Irish channel) is going showing a new Beatles documentary:
Fab! The Night the Beatles Came To Dublin (27 December at 8pm) The Beatles came to Dublin for 2 concerts on Nov 7th 1963 and the teenagers of the country went crazy. Using extensive archive and news reports of that time, these diehard fans share their stories from that glorious moment of madness in this heart warming documentary.
I’ll make sure to post a link to it so ye can all watch it if ye want. It should be good 🙂
I forgot to watch it live Damn boring cousins came over and I left the room they were in because there was no seat for me to sit on so I went on my phone and completely forgot about it.
Here it is for ye all to view, tell me if there’s any problem with the link.

Make sure to watch it before the 26th January as it’s being taken off then.
Enjoy

^ I have been trying to figure out how to record it but all of them aren’t doing their job properly.
Anyone have any recommendations for a screen-filmer yokeamabob or anything along those lines?
If push comes to shove I’ll *shudder* have to record it off my laptop screen with a camera.

Personally I’d suggest you didnt go to the trouble, I certainly can live without seeing it. Its a very kind sentiment tho.

You can use CamStudio for video and Audacity for audio Then sync them with a video edited like Windows Movie Maker. Or you could try to download the video using an online converter. Or get a screen capture that gets audio also.

Ringo is one of the people interviewed for a documentary about B.B. King. It will air on PBS stations on February 12th at 9:00 pm EST.

I sure do like the food and music at B.B. King’s restaurant on Beale Street in Memphis.

Short notice but will also be available to listen to on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio app for 30 days after broadcast.
She Loves You – ‘You Never Had It So Good‘: tonight (19th January 2016) from 11pm -> 12am on BBC Radio 2.
1963 was a monumental year in Britain. The Profumo Affair was uncovered. The Great Train Robbery took place. The Dartford Tunnel and the National Theatre opened. And a manufactured Northern pop band started doing rather well.
A new economic and social optimism coincided with the birth of Beatlemania in a country that had, according to Prime Minister Harold MacMillan, “never had it so good”. However, it was an optimism that had been almost two decades in the making, following the horror of WW2, then the lean years of rationing, poverty and re-building. The Beatles’ humour, drive and infectious music chimed perfectly with the country’s new-found confidence.
Which raises the question
How the f%*^ were the Beatles a manufactured band?
Its that kind of idiocy that pisses me off.
