I think this is the big problem. It’s 6 hours and from hearing what some of the smaller acts are saying they’re getting to perform 2-3 songs…it’ll be a long night.
I think they also don’t want to put time estimates because people will only tune in to see their favourite and then turn off again. If you’re watching for 6 hours, you’re more likely to donate than if you only watch 10 minutes.

It’s actually eight hours, @AppleScruffJunior, a six-hour pre-show, which is what we have the listing for, followed by a two-hour main show. Paul is part of the two-hour main show.
American TV personalities Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon will host the main two-hour show, which will also feature Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Elton John and Paul McCartney .
So, Paul’s on during the last two hours, @vonbontee @Von Bontee, probably headlining.

Offline Now that’s where I’m getting conflict, the pre-show has been on for 4.5 hours, which would mean the concert isn’t on until 1am but the Beeb is reporting that it starts at midnight.

Offline ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ and ‘Imagine : The New York Years’ are two of the programmes on BBC4 next Friday (9th October) from 8pm to celebrate John’s 80th birthday.
On Saturday 10th October, starting at 12:30am, Sky Arts are showing the 1972 ‘Imagine ‘ film (not to be confused with the 1988 documentary), ‘Lennon’s Last Weekend’ and ‘Gimme Some Truth : John Lennon ‘. Absolutely no idea why it starts 30 minutes after midnight so it’s not on John’s birthday but hey ho. Oasis are on instead.
I’d presume the BBC4 programmes will be able to watch on the BBC iPlayer soon after they are broadcast. And in case folk don’t know, Sky Arts is currently free-to-air so you don’t need to pay for Sky to be able to watch, you just need to be able to get the channel.
