I figured I’d keep the topic general, as there’s already been a Beatles-themed Powerpuff Girls episode, Meet the Beat-Alls.
If you haven’t seen it, here’s the adorable video with Ringo in the upcoming one-off episode. I love that he’s got armpit hair.
And the art director and character designer talked about what it was like meeting Ringo:
Ringo was absolutely amazing and I had the experience of a lifetime in meeting him and seeing him perform with his All-Star band! He is inspiring and seemed to have all of the same energy as he did 50 some years ago! I art directed the music video and even had the pleasure of designing Mr. Starr’s cartoon counterpart. The video was directed by Dave Smith, who also wrote the song that Ringo later recorded. The animation was done by the amazing Polygon Pictures in Japan, who were incredible creative partners in the process

I love the Meet the Beat-Alls episode. I love how they used quotes from lesser songs, not just 500 references to Hey Jude , Let It Be , and Yellow Submarine . I mean, Michelle , You Can’t Do That , and Money (That’s What I Want) references? They know their stuff.
Edit: Remembered more. Run For Your Life , the Silver Beatles, and STUART BEST!!!! That was the best part.

A reminder that the special with Ringo is on right now on the east coast (started at 7:30pm) on Cartoon Network.
Also, just found this LA Times interview with the director, David Smith on the special. Here’s the part about Ringo:
What was it like working with Ringo Starr , who plays a “flamboyant mathematician” named Fibonacci Sequins?
Our jaws dropped. … We came up with a character design to play the world’s most famous mathematician, we sent it his way and he passed. My heart kind of broke a little bit, but it was a polite pass. Then, I animated a four- to five-minute pitch cartoon we sent to him about how I was introduced to him in the 1980s when I saw him in “Caveman” and found out he was the Beatles’ drummer. I couldn’t believe he said yes. What an incredibly awesome dude.

I don’t like how they changed the look of The Powerpuff Girls. I used to watch that show when I was about 7 I believe I had a Bubbles doll! Good times but even now I can’t watch an episode with ‘Him’ scary ba*tard

That’s interesting to think of he would have looked to a child, because I’ve always just found him campy.
I’m glad Ringo participated, but I’m not sure we needed another episode, especially one without Craig McCracken’s involvement.
